Prior to our stay, the owners of the property stayed in the cabin before our arrival. Property Management had informed me the owners would clean and make the cabin ready prior to our arrival. Upon arrival we found the following issues: 1) bed sheets had previously been slept in, and one bed wasn't made, just comforter slung on-top of the bed; 2) zero toilet paper; 3) zero paper towels; 4) trash was full, with flies inside; 5) bathroom sink was dirty, with dried tooth paste in sink; 6) long black/brown hair stuck to side of shower wall - filthy shower; 7) used towels left inside shower, and one towel, with a mysterious brown mark was left on-top of what I assume was the towels we were supposed to use; 8) what I assume were our towels were left inside a clear trash bag that was left on the floor, not hung-up like one would expect; 9) no hot water, just lukewarm (not my responsibility to mess with hot water heaters, since the owners clearly pointed out to not adjust their fridge temperature); and 10) also, being required to clean up after ourselves, there were no basic cleaning supplies, such as a broom to sweep the floor, or spray to wipe down the counter tops.
Beyond that, the owner needs to purchase a new shower head, because the current one sprays a mist. With no hot water, the mist only made the shower colder. Also, our stay was in the middle of the summer, so in the winter I couldn't imagine taking a shower here.
The Property Management was very accommodating, and when I called to discuss the issues listed above, they immediately sent out a clean crew, which arrived within 30-45 minutes. Two people arrived, and I spoke with Johnny (I think that was his name), and he apologized for the inconvenience and was very polite. His crew quickly cleaned the cabin, kitchen, changed the bed sheets & made the bed, and bathroom (even hung up fresh new clean towels, and not the ones inside the trash bag left on the floor).
Although the cabin itself was nice and spacious, I recommend having the Property Management inspect the cabin before arrival to make sure it's ready for guests' arrival.
