Sunset Cove - Enjoy a Private Beach & Great Sunsets

Sunset cove is a charming lake front private property with rare sand beach, shallow water entry, incredible sunsets and great location to explore the region. Completely renovated (2022) lake cottage offers a great place to relax and is a base for an incredible vacation. Located in a quiet neighborhood consisting of private homes and camps.

Sunset Cove consists of two bedrooms, a sunroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, large screened in porch, large outdoor deck, level yard, and an outdoor shower! New mini-split heat pump provides Air Conditioning and/or heat year round. An outdoor grill and fire pit complement the lawn furniture and picnic table on the lake side of the property.

Water access is unique on this lake as many places have a road to cross and/or rocky, slippery waterfronts. Sunset Cove offers a natural sand beach with gently sloping ledge rock once you are in the water. (Although water shoes are always recommend in the lake)

The cottage is 1 hour from downtown Montreal, Burlington and Lake Placid! Point Au Roche State Park located 4 miles away. Plattsburgh is a quick 15 drive south. Hiking in the Adirondack Mountains is highly recommended due to our close proximity to the High Peaks region. Lake Champlain is a Professional Bass fishing stop on all major tours. The main US/Canada border crossing is 22 miles away, about 16 miles by boat.

Bring your toys! Boat launch is 3 miles away. The bay is suitable for boat mooring and there are several marinas around that offer short term slip rental. Kayak and Paddle Board from our beach or load up and seek out adventure on other parts of the lake. Bicycle tours regularly pass by and an incredible ride around the north portion of Lake Champlain is possible from right out our door. Mountain Bikers have access to some great terrain a short distance away

Every month has something to offer in the Lake Champlain region! Spring is the start to great outdoor adventures, Summer provides endless opportunities on the water, in the mountains or exploring the cities and towns that surround Lake Champlain. The Fall continues to allow for numerous outdoor activities and exploration and the Winter might be the best hidden gem up here for adventure!

Everything great, third bedroom . Beautiful location, no closets perfect for rental may -September give or take! We needed first week of April for grandmas birthday! We made out ok alittle cool.

Thank you for choosing our cottage on the lake. Yes, the beginning of April is definitely a little cooler than the summer. Luckily you got to see the ice go out of the lake and the migratory birds as they move through! Please consider coming back in the summer or fall when the water is warm, the temperatures are comfortable and everything is green. Happy birthday.!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this property. The home was quiet, clean, and stocked with anything we needed. The location is right on the lake and is beautiful! We were comfortable and well taken care of during our stay and would return again with more family or friends in the future. Highly recommend. Retreat in paradise!

We loved every aspect of our stay! The hosts were wonderful and the house was spotless. It was so easy to find all the things we needed without a search (unlike other places we have stayed). And the location was spectacular...right on the water with an unobstructed view that was breathtaking! We had such a great time and were able to escape to this retreat, relax and recharge our batteries. Now sadly, back to the real world...but we'll be back!

Perfect Get Away

The property is definitely "new" in the sense that it's been completely renovated to be used on this platform. The location could not be better. It's an hour to Lake Pacid, Burlington Vt. or Montreal, but why would you leave when the lakes is ten steps from your door?! The hosts were very accommodating. Thanks so much! We'll be back.

Gorgeous views, great location

Upon arriving at the house, we were immediately impressed by the beautiful view of Lake Champlain. The yard was very nice and the beach area was perfect for the kids. The boat launch was extremely close and easily accessible! The wildlife was incredible!! While fishing from our boat one evening, we watched a bald eagle swoop down and grab a fish out of the water. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower and the screened in porch was beautiful to sit in at night, especially during the occasional thunderstorm. We thoroughly enjoyed our eleven nights at the cottage and our entire family of 6 was all sad to have to leave.

Stay here! You're gonna love it!!

Our time here was amazing! The house is brand new and stocked with everything we could need! Our hosts were amazing and gracious with their time to answer any questions we had. The beds are so cozy! The decor is on point! The location- fabulous. So close to everywhere we wanted to visit. The sunsets...sigh...the best Ive ever seen. The fire pit is just what we needed late night. We brought our boat and ropped in just up the road. Don't miss out on the Happy Pike! Just a short boat ride across the bay. delicious ice cream and boozy treats!!

Great little cottage, we enjoyed our quiet stay by the lake. So many windows, well appointed, comfy beds. We loved it but if you’re a blackout curtain kinda person, this may not be the stay for you.
