Very clean. Beds comfortable. Great kitchen, well equipped and with lots ofExtra touches. Fantastic backyard with clean pool and hottub well as comfortable seating around a fire pit. Great location, cute garden, lovely grocery store nearby and the Mexican restaurant on corner was amazing. Stay here for sure!

Happy House Charm

Home is very nice in a very quiet community. Warm feeling and spacious rooms. The sauna was very relaxing and the pool was a great condition (a bit too cold to enjoy during our stay).Brook was very attentive and made sure our experience was an enjoyable one!

Happy house

We had a wonderful time at the Happy House. This house has a lot of natural lights, comfortable, well stocked, clean, and very relaxing atmosphere. Grocery, restaurants are around the corner nearby.

Fully equipped kitchen, cute little house

House is very cute. We were a little confused about where the second bathroom was. Kitchen was fully stocked, which was nice. We had a problem with the hot tub, but the owner fix that very quickly for us. We were able to walk to a nice Mexican restaurant and an amazing grocery store.Only thing it could’ve been a little cleaner. The carpet in one of the bedrooms really needs to be taken out.Overall, it was a good stay, and the owner communicated very quickly with us

Absolutely everything was perfect about this VRBO. The kitchen was well equipped, almost anything could be made in it as there was every type of pot, pan, serving tray, dish, glass, mug and utensils you could ask for.There were many entertaining items around the home, a turntable with a wide variety of albums, a guitar, games, books, yoga mats, pool toys etc.The house was extremely clean and fresh smelling as was the yard. It totally suited my husband, adult children and their finances.There was ample parking for cars, ample seating for everyone, and ample towels for showering and for the pool.Communication between Brook and me was timely and very friendly. She wanted to make sure we were well taken care of, which we were.I would HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone visiting Santa Rosa or, as in our case, attending wedding festivities in Calistoga. That was just a 25 minute ride over the mountain.Brook and her VRBO home, the Happy House, are the BEST!
We enjoyed lunch in the warmth of the middle of the day in mid-October.

I was born and raised in Sonoma County and feel incredibly lucky to call this beautiful area home. While I love traveling the world, I always find my way back to this special place. Now, as I move on to new adventures, I cherish the wonderful memories made at Happy House. For over 14 years, I hosted monthly dinners with friends, filling this home with laughter, great food, and music. Live music is a big part of my life, and I’ve even hosted intimate acoustic concerts right in my dining room and backyard.

My goal has always been for everyone who walks through the door to feel comfortable and want to stay. I love the idea of this house making guests feel happy and safe, just as it has for me and so many others over the years.

It’s my heartfelt hope that you enjoy this home as much as I have. Happy House is a warm, comfortable space perfect for relaxing and making memories with friends and family. I’m more than happy to answer any questions about the home or the area—welcome!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Honestly, my parents chose the neighborhood. They originally bought this house in 1997 because it had a room big enough for a full-size pool table (now the dining room). I chose to purchase the home from them in 2013 because I love the feel of the house, the size of the yard, and couldn't see myself living anywhere else.

Beyond the house itself, the neighborhood has so much to offer. Within a half-mile, there are beautiful creek trails, a few great restaurants, Oliver’s Market (a fantastic locally owned grocery store), and even a classic dive bar. It’s a perfect balance of convenience and community.

The one trade-off is that Happy House sits on the corner of Rinconada, which does get a fair amount of traffic, so there’s some street noise. But for me, the perks of the neighborhood more than make up for it!

What makes Happy House unique is that it has been my primary residence since 2013. I originally rented it out while traveling, but now that I'm moving to a new home, I’m excited to share it with you. Every item in the house was thoughtfully chosen for daily comfort and enjoyment—the couch for its coziness, the artwork because I love it, and the kitchen stocked for full-time living. I hope you feel at home quickly and have everything you need during your stay. Plus, the backyard is a true retreat, featuring a beautiful large pool and a six-person hot tub.
