Only a short drive from two marinas (6 or 15-min drive; marinas offer boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals), public lakeside parks with great amenities (kayak rentals, sports fields, picnic, grills, swimming, fishing piers/platforms, hiking trails), the Guadalupe River (tubing, kayaking, hiking trails, fishing; 15 to 20-min), Schlitterbahn water park and historic Gruene (25-min drive to New Braunfels), and more, the Oakhill Cottage offers endless opportunities for relaxation and fun!!! This cute, quiet yet centrally-located retreat is also close to San Antonio (45-minute drive), Wimberley (40-min), San Marcos downtown and outlet shopping malls (40-min, Blanco State Park and brewery (40-min) and downtown Austin (1:15-min drive). We recommend taking the Devil's Backbone scenic route between Wimberley and Blanco. There are several wineries en route to Fredericksburg (40-min).

Large, fully equipped kitchen with coffee station. Washer & dryer. Ping pong table. Fast wifi internet and desk in the master bedroom. High chair and pack & play for infants provided. Linens, bath towels, and toiletries are provided (bring your own beach/river towels).

For the safety of our guests and our home, we have two OUTDOOR security cameras (one is located on the entry porch and the other by the garage door). Both cameras point toward the front yard and are incapable of recording anything in private spaces
