The house is very welcoming and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. My family and I enjoyed the house being so close to the beach and other amenities.

The location is perfect for the area! Directly across the street from the beach. Beach supplies so you dont have to bring or buy any! Enough room for our family of 7. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice house, across the street from the beach, everything was clean. No problems. Was able to bring our pet which made this a plus. Beds were very comfortable and soft. Plenty of beach chairs and supplies didn’t have to bring anything.

Great house in perfect location!!

We had the best trip!! This house was clean & exactly as pictured. The prop mgr had great communication & the location was PERFECT!! It’s right across the street from the beach, less than 1 mile into town & less than 1 mile to the trails. We took bikes with us so we rode bikes into town, as well as the trails. Totally recommend!

Relaxing

We went down for a short weekend for a little get away relaxing time… it did rain ever darn day we were there however we did not let it mess our time up. The house is so close to beach , so walking was not far at all , you can see from the porch. The is nice, BEDS are nice and soft , plenty of beach things to use (chairs,wagon,sand toys, boogie boards,umbrellas beach towels,) I recommend the house, will stay again

Perfect Beach Getaway with Plenty of Space!

Our stay at this Gulf Shores rental was fantastic! The biggest highlight was the unbeatable proximity to beach access—just a short walk, and we were on the sand in no time. It made trips back and forth super convenient, especially with kids and beach gear.Inside, the house offered plenty of space, making it perfect for families or groups. The open floor plan allowed everyone to gather comfortably, while the bedrooms provided privacy and relaxation. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the outdoor space was a nice bonus for enjoying the coastal breeze.Overall, this rental is ideal for anyone looking for a spacious, well-located home near the beach. We would absolutely stay here again!

The location was nice - we could walk to the beach and to places to eat. The pool is much smaller than what the picture makes it look like..overall I did not feel like this was a 5 star stay. When we arrived I had to unload the dishwasher, fold beach towels that were left in the dryer. The closet that is outside and holds all the beach gear was a complete mess. All items were sandy and dirty even moldy. Our host was fantastic and very helpful. We did travel with pets. The main road is right next to the house so you hear traffic all night. To make this a 5 star it needs some updates. The closets and cabinets need organizing in the down stairs bedroom and kitchen.

Christie, thank you for staying at Mermaid Hideaway #2 and for the detailed feedback. I’m sorry your stay fell short of 5‑star expectations, the issues you described (dishwasher/dryer left undone, the messy outdoor closet with sandy/moldy items, and the smaller-than-expected pool) are not acceptable. I’ve shared this with our housekeeping team and we’ve completed a deep clean of the outdoor closet, removed/ replaced affected items, and retrained staff on our turnover checklist so appliances and linens are checked between guests. We’ll update listing photos and copy to set clearer expectations for the pool size, and we’re arranging better organization in the downstairs bedroom and kitchen closets. I’m glad we were helpful during your stay, thank you for calling these items out so we can improve.
