Cozy Carriage House with an Urban Cabin Ambiance

The quaint town of Bellville is surrounded by a multitude of landmarks that will keep any outdoorsperson busy:

-1 min (walk) to B&O Trail
-10 mins from Snow Trails Ski Resort
-15 mins from Malabar Farm State Park
-15 mins from Mohican State Park
-20 mins from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

so, pack your skis and bikes!

Outdoors not your fancy? Then relax in the city's local coffee shop, winery, restaurants, library, or park yourself on a bench next to the Clear Fork River and unwind to nature.

The property is in the middle of town. There are 2 comfortable chairs on the porch where guests can enjoy the evenings / mornings. The kitchen has all major appliances, coffee maker, microwave, blender, and a dining set to accommodate up to 6 people.

The next room guests will enter is the game nook. Inside the cupboard are a few board games and puzzles. Off this room is the main living room with a couch and recliner. There is a TV with a DVD player.

The stairs are accessible from the living room that will take guests the bedroom. There are signs at the foot of the stairs warning guests to watch their heads, as the walkway is rather short.

Upstairs, there is both a futon and a queen size bed. The bedroom is separated into 2 sleeping areas, each with their own sleeping arrangements, space heater, and closets.

Attached to the bedroom is the bathroom. It is fully stocked with shampoo, body wash, and hair dryer just in case guests forget to bring their own.

**Please Note** The bathroom and bedroom are upstairs. If you have difficulties with stairs, please consider this before booking.

Other things to note:
Part of the space's charm is the age and quaintness. The water pipes are as old as the house. If there is a long length of time between guests, sediment tends to build up in the pipes. Upon running the water the first time, it's possible some of the buildup will flow out of the faucets. Please simply let the water run for 10 seconds and let the buildup clear

Very clean

My wife and I had a great 4-night stay in this updated one-bedroom house in a nice neighborhood, The kitchen was equipped with new kitchen appliances, and the unit's other furnishings were in good shape. Most impressive was the cleanliness of the unit.

Great location

I had such a great stay at the carriage house. It was clean and cozy and perfect for my stay. Within walking distance to some of the best pizza I've had. I told my husband we will have to stay here next time we go back to the area.

Good value

It was just me needing a place to sleep for 3 nights in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Good on both counts & I slept good. Being a race weekend at Mid-Ohio, lodging rates were very high. This "Cozy cottage" was almost half the rate of a cheap hotel. Good value for 3 nights. Only a 18 minute drive to Mid-Ohio Raceway, so very easy commute. Checkin instructions should have made clear that the house address # given was not THAT house but is the cottage #-RR (rear) behind that house. Cottage was clean with really new flooring. Old fixtures in the kitchen weren't dirty, just old. And the cottage was old with low ceilings but appeared to have good, strong "bones."

I was okay with location, but was unaware I had to go upstairs to use restroom.I have bad knees and this was really difficult to do. Also I luckily brought my own toiletries... those provided by host were open and previously used. Although the coffee pot had Keurig capabilities, the only coffee available was also open and previously used. I think for price things could have been better. Honestly I think Evan is just a young single gentleman that doesn't realize the effect these things have on guests. I would have texted him directly with this, but he never provided a phone number for direct contact.

Weekend Getaway

My partner and I stayed at this property for a weekend and had a great time. The home had a cozy feel to it and was nice. It was close to in-town businesses and not too far from touristic areas. The host, Evan was very helpful with any questions or concerns.
