The recent remodel was very well done. The place was very clean. No bugs. Good beaches nearby and great snorkeling. Because there is no AC, you need to open the windows to stay cool, and the unit is on the road side of the complex next to the parking lot. It can get noisy at times, but in terms of value for the location, it is a good place.

We had an amazing stay and the property was fantastic, the unit was nicer and better laid out than many others we saw. Check in and check out was easy. The condo community gathers in the afternoons/evenings. The snorkeling was out of this world. I have never seen so many turtles in a single snorkel (and multiple trips made each day). Would definitely return to this complex and this unit. We do wish there was a hot tub…

we really enjoyed our stay. the condo was comfortable & well supplied, and the grounds offered easy access to fun snorkeling, sunset viewing, and the seeing sea turtles up close made the experience that much better. easy to recommend.

Roomy place to stay..quick access to snorkeling and viewing of turtles. Host communicates very well keeps you up to date on condo. Uses an online app that guides renters to how to’s where to get items you need, amenities and sights near by.

Super host! Excellent communication! We contacted Graham before the VRBO reservation window because we were planning our 50th anniversary trip with our family. He held the days open for us & offered to email us when it was time to reserve with VRBO. Shortly before our stay he sent us a very comprehensive guide of things to do, restaurants, groceries, snorkeling gear rental, etc. The property access, check in & check out instructions were easy to follow. The unit was roomy & well appointed for a group of seven. The location perfectly situated to enjoying snorkeling, boogie boarding, swimming & walking the coastal trail without having to get in the car.

Excellent!

We had a lovely time staying here! The views were incredible and having a pool right on property was perfect for our kids (ages 7 & 8). We enjoyed snorkeling in the private cove and were glad the property had many pool and beach amenities to use. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be back!!

Perfect spot

The whole property is beautiful, well maintained and perfect for snorkeling. The best part are the daily turtles that come up and sun bath on the rocks.

Aloha! We’re Graham and Carrie Varnell, managers of Honokeana Cove #217. We are lifelong Alaskans and owners of a small family real estate business, Suburban Realty. Family and hospitality are very important to us, and we take pride in helping guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay in Maui.
We have three children — Esther, Micah, and Josiah — and we understand how meaningful vacations with family and friends can be. We strive to provide responsive communication, thoughtful accommodations, and a relaxing island experience from booking through checkout. What we enjoy most is the peaceful setting and the connection to the ocean. The cove itself is truly special — it’s common to see Hawaiian green sea turtles swimming and resting nearby, and the sunsets from the property are unforgettable. The area has a welcoming, laid-back feel that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy island life.
We also love that Honokeana Cove is conveniently located near Napili, Kapalua, and Kaanapali. Guests can easily explore nearby beaches, hiking trails, golf courses, local shops, and great dining, while still returning to a calm and quiet oceanfront retreat at the end of the day.
