We were very excited to stay in such a beautiful home so close to the beach, had some issues with the hot tub but staff went over and above to get it working. The instructions for the hot tub remote should be posted somewhere, we did make it work and enjoyed it. The cookware could maybe use an update, specifically the frying pan for cooking for a large family. The exterior door locks are very difficult to open and lock, could be dangerously in an emergency. Those are just a few things that could be better but, we enjoyed every minutes had a great time and will return soon. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Great private community rental! The slight inconvenience are the paper towel and toilet paper are too little to use for the duration of our stay.

Great stay.

Beautiful beach house. Everything was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and appliances. The pool is comfortable and great for sunbathing. It was a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is a great position to restaurants and shopping. Overall, we had a great time

Several issues with appliances not working such as ice and water in fridge, washer and dryer, elevator. Pool and hot tub were dirty when we got there including hair in the hot tub. They would heat off and on and light in hot tub would be flickering when on so in evening hours it was horrible to sit in hot tub witg the light. Rwmote to run pool and hot tub like lights jets and heat also didnt work and was not replaced. Maintenence came several times however notging was fixed or propwely working when we left. We asked for a partial refund due to things bot working but bo response yet in over a week. The house it self was prrtty and beach access was nice lots of room for everyone just would have liked to enjoyed the reat if it alittle more being we were there for 5 nights.

Ok trip

We were not told we couldn’t bring our personal golf cart, so for first night we had to leave it at crab trap restaurant overnight. And I had knee surgery not to long ago, and was not able to use elevator, due to be broken half the time we were ther. And my husband got stuck in it also..

My only issue was that the kitchen was not well equipped. There were not enough spoons/forks for our party. less than 10 or so of each, but 30+ butter knifes. Also the cookware was difficult to use as most of the handles were very loose and the finish flaking off.

The location is great—the house is a very short walk to the beach and community pool. The house is very spacious, bedding is comfortable, and the elevator is an added convenience. Having an ice machine and two small refrigerators in addition to the main one in the kitchen is so helpful in keeping drinks cool. This property has ample room for four cars, which was a must for our family. Destiny by the Sea is our favorite place to stay in Destin and Sea Horse is a beautiful house with many amenities. The FunVacay team made booking easy and were great to work with. We had one maintenance issue, and FunVacay quickly sent a repairman to address the issue. We had a wonderful week!!

The good: - Absolutely awesome location. 2 minute walk to the gorgeous community beach.- Really big place, plenty of room for our family group of 7 adults and 2 kids.- Gated community so it's secluded and safeThe not so good:- The refund terms by the owners didn't match what Vrbo had listed; we had to sign a completely different agreement after putting money down through Vrbo. It worked out for us but might cause some problems for those booking for the near future expecting to be able to back out.- The place could use some maintenance. Everything mostly works (not the elevator) but there are things that need some love, like the upstairs showers. Probably time for some mattress replacements. - The kitchen drain smelled horrible. We wished that had been taken care of before we arrived.- Some basic supplies are offered (bar soap, shampoo, body wash) but they are small and limited, as are paper towels and toilet paper. Plan on a trip to the store.If it had been a little better maintained this would be a very easy 5 stars!

Your input helps us improve the experience for future guests. As noted in our listing, we provide a Starter Kit with essentials such as paper products, soaps, and trash bags. However, for longer stays, guests may need to supplement these items. Additionally, four beach chairs and basic kitchen equipment are included for your convenience. Forever Destin

I’ve. Stayed in other properties in Destin, Fl This one is in my top 5. The neighborhood is in an excellent section of the beach community. You can drive, but if you like to get your walking in.. the outlet mall is technically in walking distance and other amenities around the area. The property itself is extremely clean and very spacious on all floors. The Hot tub and swimming pool were heated BEFORE we arrived! (This is always a plus) We only had two problems which were handled immediately through the app and a service tech was there within a few minutes. I can’t say enough about the surrounding privacy fence! Great layout. I also liked the full time gate attendant. You can’t just walk in or drive through the neighborhood. It’s gated! We felt secure. In Short. PLENTY of SPACE! Great sized rooms and excellent service! 5 out of 5 experience. I think you can always feel safe in a gated neighborhood with very high in cars in the driveways…. lol. Great Spot!

Vacation Nightmare

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at Seahorse on a Thursday evening only to find out the house, a very nice home, had not been prepared for our arrival. First, the elevator was not working. This was a big disappointment because we chose this house because we needed the accommodations. Secondly, the outside pool and hot tub was dirty. The 3rd floor which held both master bedrooms had no hot water and the outlets did not work. The ice machine on the refrigerator was broken. It was awful. We called management and they sent someone out on Friday to fix the elevator. Then someone came on Saturday to clean the pool and hot tub. They sent a plumber and electrician, but they were not able to get the hot water nor the outlets fixed on the 3rd floor before we left. My family and I were only there for 3 days so by the time they got a few things fixed, it was time to leave. I felt like this was unacceptable and reached out to management about a refund. We received a refund of less than $200. Yet, we paid over $3000. We make this trip to Flordia every year and this home was our worst experience Ever!!

Dear Amber, Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback on your recent stay at Seahorse. I want to assure you that we took immediate action to address the issues you encountered. Our maintenance technician was able to demonstrate how to use the elevator, which was functioning properly once that guidance was provided. Additionally, our team promptly addressed the pool cleanliness. Unfortunately, hot water heaters can fail unexpectedly, and we had to order several parts for the repair. Thankfully, there were other showers and bathtubs available in the home for your use. We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience you experienced and hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
