We had a wonderful 9 days at the house. We feel at home there. The location is perfect. Lisa is a wonderful host. This is our second year staying there and we hope to go back next year! It’s in walking distance to the town, and the neighborhood is quiet. I love that you can walk to Sunset park and see the ferry’s and boats coming in

The host was friendly. The house was nice but needs major updating. The pictures posted online were probably pictures from a few years ago. My sister and I experienced a lot of bugs inside the home. We did let the host know and I believe she'll get an exterminator for the issue. The house was in a great location. Short walking distance to restaurants, shops, and entertainment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry the bugs impacted your stay. It has been a particularly challenging season on the island, but that doesn't diminish your experience. We have our home treated quarterly, and after you let me know, I scheduled additional visits to address the issue. Thank you as well for your comments about the photos. We update our listing regularly, and I'll continue adding new ones to ensure it reflects the home as accurately as possible. I'm glad you enjoyed the location. Our cottage is a cherished family home, and while it isn't a luxury property, we strive to provide a comfortable, welcoming place for guests to enjoy everything Oak Bluffs has to offer. Thank you again for staying with us, and I wish you and your sister all the best.

Awesome location close to downtown Oak Bluffs!

Very cute house close to town. It had everything we needed. My 4 yr old son loved playing on the wrap around porch and laying in the hammock. Owner was very attentive to any questions we had. We are definitely interested in staying again next summer.

My husband I loved the cottage we rented! Lisa was so nice and very helpful. It’s a wonderful location and within walking distance of Oak Bluff. Lisa has the house stocked with all your needs. Right up the street there is a park that over looks Sunset pond and the Harbor. We really enjoyed taking a walk and sitting on the bench watching the ferries come and go. We had a wonderful 2 week stay!

Another wonderful stay

We were repeat renters and quickly booked this property for the following year once we returned home. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable, fully equipped and centrally located. Our host was outstanding, accommodating and easy to contact/communicate with. If our plans for 2023 hadn’t changed we would have booked again immediately. But no worries, we will return.

Our first stay at this home was in 2013 and we keep coming back. Lisa is always a wonderful host and we love that the house never looks like it ages. They take such good care of everything, it’s clean and well-equipped, and it feels just like home every time. The location is incredible, with an easy walk/bike ride to Oak Bluffs center. We’ve stayed in larger house with more family members, but when it’s just a family, comfortable vibe we want, we will always stay here.

Outstanding

This property was perfect. It is very clean. Check in was flawless. We had some trouble getting the lock box open but Lisa responded immediately with how to open after we notified her. The listing was spot on. There were no issues and it was the perfect size for our group. The location was great as we could walk into Oak Bluffs and we were close to our friends home which allowed our son to walk back and forth with no issue. We also were very close to the bike trail which we utilized 3 separate times. Again, great job by Lisa. She was very responsive with any questions we had. I highly recommend this property and we would stay again no doubt! It made our first trip to the Vineyard very memorable and very fun.

Summer vacation

This is a wonderful spot to stay on MV - close to town, yet far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. It has all that you need! Living room is spacious and a comfortable place to relax, read, and watch TV. Deck is large and cool. Outdoor shower felt amazing after a hot day at the beach.

As a host, I prioritize guests feeling at ease about staying in our home. I've learned over the years that I want our interactions to focus on the experience and allow VRBO to handle the transaction. This is not a rental property. It's our home that we want others to enjoy and feel welcome visiting.

Many of our guests are small families or couples seeking to reconnect with Martha's Vineyard after a longer-than-expected absence. We are happy to play a small part in creating new memories for them and anyone else seeking the magic of the island.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We love this neighborhood because everything is within walking distance, yet it's also very quiet. It's also pretty convenient that you can flag down the public bus from across the street or a few yards up on New York Avenue.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Our home is an old school Oak Bluffs cottage. Although it has been updated and well-maintained, it is intentional that we have not renovated or torn it down. The traditional feel of a beach cottage is one of the things we love most. We also love how hidden we are behind those gorgeous rhododendrons.
