"Nestled by Nauset" proved to be a capacious, charming, comfortable, and well situated rental property. My wife and I had whisked away my sight-and-hearing impaired, 95-year-old mother-in-law for a week on the Cape. She welcomed this escape from the confines of her small apartment and quickly adjusted to the space, which includes a couple of raised thresholds and one step up from the dining room to the parlor. (Yes! there's a parlor with a fireplace in addition to the huge living room!) By day 2, she felt completely at home.
We enjoyed the rear deck and the tree-shaded grounds. Cooking in the kitchen was a breeze. The beds were comfy, and the quiet neighborhood encouraged sound sleeping. Once up and around, we found we could drive to Orleans town center in five minutes; and, of course, Orleans itself is ideally placed for access to both the north and west reagions of Cape Cod.
Our host, Edward, was remarkably responsive, helpful, and courteous, Irish charm on full display. He and his wife have done a smashing job .All the appliances are up-to-date. Flooring is new throughout. Ceiling fans grace most of the rooms, as do mini-split air condiitioners, though the latter are not working just yet. Until they're finished, the many window air conditioners do a more than adequate job.
We'd love to return one day and see how this place evolves. Meanwhile, you should jump on it if you're visiting marvellous Cape Cod!
