House by the creek, in the middle of Wayne national forest

The house is set above the road with a creek acrossed the field. You can sit on the deck and the views are amazing or sit in the living room in front of the electric fireplace and read a book. You are at least a mile from a state road so you can go for a walk along the creek and not have to worry about much traffic. In the evening relax by the outside fireplace with a crackling fire. At&t has service at the house but no Verizon service, and no wifi. The house has well water with sulfer in it. It has a smell but is fine. Direct TV in living room, master bedroom TV has Nintendo hooked up. We live 10 minutes away so if you need anything during your stay we can help.

Myself & my family absolutely loved this place! It’s off the beaten path, tucked away in the countryside, a hidden gem! It was so quiet and peaceful, the surrounding scenery, beautiful! Everyone waved and smiled when driving by, very welcoming feeling! We’ll definitely be returning!

We chose the spot because it was 1/2 way between two groups of old friends (6 ppl) I gave it 5 stars not because it’s fancy and has great amenities but it is just as they listed it. It was clean, in a great remote location, nice fire pit with wood provided and everything worked. We could bring our little dogs which made it extra nice.We went to see the Golden Palace ( (Krishna temple) in Moundsville WV. Very cool, beautiful gardens. Nice side trip. If your directions tell you to turn down Mist Valley road. I suggest you pick another route. Its basically a long one lane gravel road through the woods. If your GPS goes out, you bottom out or get stuck, nobody will be driving by. If Mothman and Bigfoot exist, this would be the road they would hang out on. The entire area has a lot of gravel roads best traveled by truck or SUV. We took another way home. It may have been a bit farther but it was a lot faster. Hit the store before you get there ( get ice) there isn’t one really close. We had a lot of fun and would like to return again.

Would have been a great location if we were not riding motorcycles. The road to the house was a gravel road and was not fit for motorcycles.

We spent our honeymoon here. We absolutely love the outdoors. Love being out in the middle of nowhere. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the birds. We loved it so much that we have booked it for our first anniversary next year. Thanks!!

GREAT STAY VERY CLEAN

THE only thing i wish i had known was that roads to the house are unpaved very windy so when we arrived late at night it was hard to navigate. Otherwise everything else was 5 star the check in the flexibility the privacy the price! were great!

The place fit our needs perfectly, with comfortable beds and a nice location conveniently located near the area we wanted to hunt. The place appears well maintained and I’m sure with nicer weather, the fire ring would have useful.

Quiet and peaceful family retreat

Nothing but positives to say! Property was updated, very clean and easy to find. Huge maintained yard and within 5 minute walk to the bridge and an accessible area on the river. Our two kids, both under the age of 8, had a blast. Despite the road being in front of the house, we only saw a few cars and could usually hear them way before you saw them, so no concerns about safety when playing outside. Enjoyed the colorful leaves during the day and the large fire pit at night, where the owner provided a ton of wood for us to use. Very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be back in the future!

Enjoyable clean, convenient to our sons home. Only concern wa s getting my husband into the house. Un even ground, slopes down onto porch. Loved everything else. Roof over the deck is a nice addition

This property is in the middle of nowhere! I loved that about it. The lack of cell service to our carrier and no wifi was a bit disheartening for my children but be assured when we left in the morning nobody had died or gone insane from not being able to use their devices on the property. I would definitely stay here again!

Weekend trip

My wife, daughter, and in-laws were in the area for the weekend. Did some hiking nearby in the national forest and had great weather. The accommodations were very nice and enjoyable.

Amazing place

Our stay was a 1 night stay, we had a blast and will definitely be using this property agin in the future, The host are amazing and helpful. Finding cell service is definitely a challenge but as someone familiar with the area I knew that would be a issue, I was able to get two bars by the window to make some calls.
