This house was perfect for our vacation. The downstairs bedroom with separate living room was perfect for our teenagers. Upstairs was great for the adults with the great view. Really appreciated the little extras with spices, plastic wrap/aluminum foil and even scissors in a "catch all" drawer in the kitchen.

Perfect Floor Plan for a Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 3 weeks. We had family and friends visit part of this time. The arrangement of the house works beautifully for a family or guests. The stairs from the garage level up to the main floor are somewhat steep, but there is a good hand rail. On the lower level there is a roomy space with a bedroom, bath and a living area with door our to lower level patio. Perfect for extra family or guests. My only critiques are not serious ones. The living room sofa with, sorry, ugly slip cover, should be replaced as the cushions wont stay in place. I felt the kitchen was perhaps overstocked with pots and pans. There were no empty drawers or cupboards to store any food goods. These are minor issues compared to the overall attractiveness and comfort of the home. I would alert tenants not to use toaster oven and the microwave at the same time. This threw a breaker, but we were able to find and restore. I would definitely recommend this property as very comfortable place to vacation.

Well stocked kitchen

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of four with dogs has been coming for a week in Cambria for many years. We always stay at a different house, and this house is ranked high in our opinion. The views are terrific from the living room balcony. The kitchen was very complete, with every tool, spatula, and pot/pan you would ever need! In addition to dining out at our favorite restaurants like the Sows Ear, the Sea Chest, Madeline’s, and the Black Cat, we enjoy preparing meals. We also appreciated the beds. They were very firm and we had good refreshing sleep. We loved the TV.There are a few minuses, including the furniture in the living room. The two armless chairs should be replaced by two comfortable armchairs. Also, the dishwasher needs looking at, as the pod is not always accepted. The main drawback with this house is the front stairs. However, you can exit the house from the back gate onto a level road, which makes all the difference. That’s what I did. if you exit the back gate, a car can just come Around the corner and pick you up. One other thing. The downstairs little apartment was very comfortable. My daughter really enjoyed staying there.

A quiet residential area and home

All four of us and dogs enjoyed our stay. The home is in a residential area and does have a sea view from a distance. The backyard is fenced for dogs, which was nice. There were a lot of deer in the area which were fun to see, but sadly, there was a young deer that was struck by a car not far from the home, and had to be put down by a sheriff's officer as he couldn't walk - so do drive carefully in the area.

Comfortable home for a family vacation. Great location, beautiful views.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cambria. The natural beauty is rejuvenating. The house was everything we needed for a 4 day family stay.

Great place

The house was clean, comfortable and in a good location. Nice views and short walk to the coastline through a quiet and lovely neighborhood. Easy driving distance to main street. Thank you!

Cambria Getaway

Property is superbly situated where you hear the ocean and see deer in the street. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Great yards ( 3 levels) and overall totally enjoyable.

Great get away for a long weekend

Furnishings are a little dated but property was very clean. Well stocked. Driveway is a little steep if you drive a RV van but plenty long enough. Community was quiet and you are a close drive to the amazing shops and coffee spots in Cambria. You can hear and have a great view of ocean.

Wake to waves and Fully stalked

We came to town for a memorial service at Cambria Pines loved staying at this house with white crashing waves view! It was very serene and beautiful.

Spectacular

Heavenly

This house is Perfect for three couples. While it may not be close to the ocean you have beatiful views of the ocean and can always hear the crashing waves. The house was so clean I really couldn't believe it. The only downside was the fireplace was not in working order and we were really looking forward to fires in the early morning and late evenings. Honestly this house was really so comfortable and lovely , we will definately be back, but we are hoping the fireplace will be fixed by then, ; )

Beautiful house and views!

Loved it- hope we can stay again someday! Left a list of small maintenance things with office but did forget to mention the bath faucet in primary bathroom shower is loose and leaking while using. House was clean, comfortable, wish I could live there permanently. Coffee pot was broken/clogged- took over two hours to brew a pot! We bought another one at a thrift store but it’s pretty slow too- but at least it has a timer! That was the only inconvenience- and the previous visitors hadn’t cleaned the bbq, so we had to clean their mess off of it before we could use it. The rug in main living room definitely has a dog/urine smell, and there was some lingering pet hair from previous visitors but wasn't bothersome I would absolutely stay here again- the views, awesome patios, the sounds of the ocean and the deer everywhere… just an amazing time. Thank you!

Great location and loved hearing the waves

The house is in a great location with views of the ocean and sounds of the waves. Scenic Coast Properties manages this location and on their contract it states that any issues with the house must be reported IMMEDIATELY. So I called and emailed them to let them know the sound on the tv in the LR kept going out, the dishwasher was not attached so it was moving around and the soap dispenser didn't always open and there was water sitting after a cycle. The washing machine would stop in the middle of a cycle full of water which ended up being an electrical problem that had to be rewired and was a fire hazard, the plumbing in the MB shower wasn't working and it would make a very loud noise that could be heard outside and then no water pressure and the spout was loose. The coffee maker took about an hour to brew a half of cup, the microwave also sounds like it is going out but is still working, the radio didn't work and the lights by the back gate don't work. And also the bath towels left for us to use were so warn and stained we went and bought new ones. When I reported this to Scenic Coast Properties (Valerie) she wrote WOW we have not heard this from previous guests and that some guests had returned which made me feel like she didn't believe me. She did send a maintenance man who rewired the electrical outlet to the washing machine and did say it was a fire hazard, he turned down the hot water heater which was dangerously hot, brought a new coffee maker, and attached the dishwasher so it would stop sliding around. He could not fix our MB shower he said that was a major job that required a plumber. We were there for 6 days and like I said before the house is a nice house in a great location but I don't feel that it is being maintained. I even stated to her that I thought maybe it hadn't been rented in awhile because most of these things would have had to been reported. But after our treatment by Scenic Coast Properties I would never rent through them again and we come often. And if there are other owners besides Scenic Coast Properties you should know they are not maintaining this property.

Fabulous property

We traveled here from the midwest and invited California friends to visit. We love Cambria and this house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, spacious, private, ample parking, spectacular views, perfect location. It had everything we could possibly need--except table salt. It even had a Weber kettle BBQ grill AND charcoal--but it had gotten too wet to light. We really, really enjoyed it.

Girls Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house layout was perfect for a get together for the 3 of us. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are huge and the third one is ample sized. It was nice for each of us to have our own bathroom.There is plenty of seating both inside and out. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with nice pots, pans and dishes. There were even big roasting pans and a mixer. The location is convenient to many sights. We enjoyed our stay very much.Our only suggestions would be to have better lighting as it is a bit dark and to have some zip locks, a few more spices and olive oil in kitchen.

Fantastic seaside getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is located in a quite residential area about 15 min walk to the coast, less than a mile away from Fiscalini preserve. It’s thoughtfully designed with extra furniture items, well stocked kitchen tools and supplies, bedding and bathroom needs. The view is fantastic especially on the 2nd floor deck. Three enclosed outdoor areas to enjoy. It’s spacious yet cozy and our family of four had an amazing time. We especially liked how the downstairs is very private with a door. The opportunities: the dishwasher needs to be either thoroughly cleaned or replaced. It’s actually disgusting and concerning as we couldn’t trust cleanness of the dinnerware in the cabinets. All dirty dishes turned up oily because it wasn’t cleaned and chalky from the detergent powder. Bathtubs drain slowly. I was told the 2nd floor is worse. Other than the two malfunctioning items the place is clean, and almost perfect. Thank you for the hospitality!
