This cottage is exactly as promised! Those views are amazing ( you must get up at sunrise at least one morning ), the star gazing is incredible and the fire pit with ALL things you need including the smores stuff. The cottage is Very Clean, very well maintained and super cozy and private. So many little added amenities to make this cottage special. Would highly recommend.

We had an excellent 10 day stay. The home was clean and bright and the views were spectacular. We really appreciated having outdoor seating in several locations around the property, including seating for star gazing. The host was very responsive to our questions. We enjoyed watching morning sunrises, birds, and lobster boats. Everything in the description and pictures were accurate. We also really liked the location off a quiet road for us taking our early morning walks. This is a place you don't want to leave and you can't wait to come back.

Beautiful home, gorgeous views and peaceful, quiet setting. Many thoughtful details throughout. We loved playing corn hole and roasting marshmallows by the bonfire, sitting on the stargazing platform late at night and enjoying coffee and breakfast at the picnic table overlooking the water in the morning. Full kitchen, air conditioning and heat, bedding for comfortable pull-out sofa for extra sleeping space. We highly recommend!

Beautiful cozy cottage with all the amenities we needed. Has a great view and entertaining wildlife on the water. We were visited by ducks, loons, gulls, eagles, and otters in our short stay. The hosts were very helpful and everything was as stated or better.

My family stayed here for a couple days while touring UMaine campus. This cottage is great... very nice inside with personal touches and right on the Atlantic ocean. We really enjoyed the bonfire and star gazing platform. We will visit again!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Compass Point! The cottage style atmosphere is beautiful and it’s easy to see that lots of thought was put into each and every detail inside. I wish words could explain our experience. It was truly magical. It’s was so peaceful and tranquil. The scenery from the deck over the water was breathtaking. The house felt very loving and peaceful. My wife and 2 kids felt very secure and happy there which means everything. The host was great and you could tell that hospitality JS very important to them. We will be back, cannot wait to see the lobster boats again some day.

My husband, Stewart. and I are both true Mainers. Born and raised in Bar Harbor and Prospect Harbor, we met on Stewart's deep-sea fishing tour over 25 years ago. Since then, we've created a beautiful family of 6 together and have established one of Downeast Maine's premiere boat building companies. We love to travel and explore whenever possible. For years we've used vacation rentals as our go-to places to stay...having a, "home away from home" makes a vacation all that more special! Our goal in creating our vacation rentals was to offer our guests a few things that's often lacked in our renting experience: fast responses, unique accommodations, and hosts who genuinely care about your stay. From the moment of confirming your reservation to long after you depart, we want you to feel the effort that was put into your stay and the appreciation we have for your reservation.
