Quiet, safe getaway in the city

Rae and their family were absolutely stellar to communicate with. We loved our stay and appreciated how clean and homey everything felt. They have thought of everything from outdoor towels for picknicking to toiletries. We would absolutely stay again!

Great homey apartment in a safe, chill area. Easy walking distance to cafes, transit, groceries and restaurants. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. It felt like home!

Super flat in S.F.

This was the perfect home base for exploring San Francisco for our family of 3. Noe Valley is a wonderful neighborhood plus the J Church muni is a nice ride and easy to get downtown or GGPark to do touristy things too. The flat is quiet, comfortable, with well stocked kitchen and charming touches. Rae and Jamie were great, very responsive and early check-in worked out perfect for us. Loved our stay here!

Perfect spot in Noe Valley

Perfect spot for a stay in SF. Even cuter IRL than in the photos. It's evident that this is a lovingly-maintained home. Stayed here with friends and we all loved staying here. Would stay here again and absolutely would recommend to anyone!

Wonderful little flat in Noe Valley

The flat was perfect for our family's first trip to San Francisco. It was conveniently close to the J-line, quaint and comfortable, and amazingly quiet at night. Thank you Jamie (and Rae) for greeting us on arrival and providing us with tips for our stay!

Great Stay

We were visiting family who lived in the Noe Valley and this unit was perfect for our family of 4. Easy walking distance to 24th street restaurants and shops and right on the Muni “J” line for quick access to the area. Communication with the owner was easy and the unit was clean and private.

Perfect Location

Duncan Retreat was the perfect home away from home. Spacious, homey and centrally located in one of the sunniest neighborhoods in the city. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and public transportation. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful apartment

Our family of 3 had a great stay in this wonderful apartment. Nearby, you have the J-Line or buses to go Downtown or rather explore San Francisco. Ample street parking was no problem in this neighborhood. And Jamie has been a great host.

Great stay

We had a great stay here with our kids in July. The place was clean, had everything we needed, and the setting is lovely. It was a very convenient location for us to get around the city and even the East Bay. We had our car with us, and parking was not too hard to find. Also, the photos actually don't do it justice, there's much more natural light than shown in the photos.

Great 2BR apartment!

Rae’s place was perfect for our family of 4. The location is great, on the J-Church train line and a few steps from Martha’s coffee. We were even able to park our car nearby without too much effort! The apartment is quiet and private, and had everything we needed. We will be back for sure!

Fantastic Place/Location

We had the best time and most comfortable stay here in SF. The location could not have been more perfect. Little corner coffee shop/bistro was perfect for quick meals and coffee. The condo was comfortable and clean and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. I would happily return and telling all my friends visiting SF about this place. Thanks!!!

Comfortable stay for 4

Nice place, roomy for family of 4, Parking can be challenging (we got a ticket not realizing street cleaning day is different depending on which side of the street you’re parking on). Nice coffee shop at the end of the street, walking distance to grocery, good location with a car. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Overall, happy with our stay!

Our names are Michael and Rae. Rae grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved out of state when she married Michael. Michael is a retired high school science teacher and Rae still works in health care. Our son, Jamie, has called San Francisco home for 22 years. He lives on site, manages Duncan St retreat and is able to assist with your stay. We are world travelers and have stayed at VRBO properties in the past.

We chose Noe Valley for it's sunny location and small neighborhood feel. Marta & Bros Coffee is a few steps away as are restaurants and shopping. No need for a car; public transportation is 1 1/2 blocks away.
