Getaway and enjoy the amenities at Sun of a Beach, a gorgeous three-bedroom condo in Buccaneers Village. Located in the private island community of Pirate's Cove Resort, which features a clubhouse, a state-of-the-art fitness room, an excellent on-site restaurant (Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar), Mimi’s Tiki Bar (offering seasonal live music and fine spirits), a fully stocked ship’s store, and a famous world-class marina. You have access to the community amenities in Pirate's Cove including a pool with snack bar, a clubhouse, a fitness center, a basketball and volley court, an outdoor pavilion, and 4 miles of common docks ideal for family walks. Only a short drive to the public beach access at Jennettes Pier or one of the many beach accesses in Nags Head or South Nags Head, Sun of a Beach is conveniently located close to Nags Head, Manteo, Wanchese, and Oregon Inlet.

Not worth price

The community and surrounding area is fantastic. The property is average and fine. Floors were not very clean and full of dog hair. Biggest complaint is you have to supply your own toilet paper. They say they start you with a roll in a gift bag. Be aware to really bring some because the gift bag roll arrived an hour after check in time. Read the fine print. You have to pay extra to have sheets on the beds and towels, which were not great quality at all. Otherwise you have to bring literally everything.

A great place to stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was incredibly clean and well equipped. The decorations are tasteful and make you feel like you’re at the beach without being overdone. The beds are comfortable and the welcome kit was a nice touch. As a renter I do think it would’ve been a plus for the unit to indicate that they have a Nespresso in addition to a traditional coffee pot (no Keurig, which is the type of pods we brought). It’s unusual to have a Nespresso and we would’ve brought our own pods which are not easily purchased at local places. Everything else we needed was available and in good shape - pots and pans were not overly worn and there was even a small basket style air fryer. I especially liked that there was a cupboard that was left completely open, which I was able to put food in. I always find it very frustrating when you come to a place and you have to put everything on the counter because the cabinets are stuffed full. The ceiling fan kept they air moving nicely and we were pleasantly surprised to find an additional fan in the master closet. The washer and dryer are a good size as well. There were extra blankets and pillows provided in the closet and plenty of hangers.We had no complaints about the unit. It is on the third floor, so had we had the grandparents with us that might’ve been an issue but we did just fine! The facility itself was clean and noise was never an issue. We very much enjoyed our walks on the dock across the street every evening. There is also a great little balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy that morning coffee! The communication was very easy and they gave step-by-step instructions for checking in and check out. Opt for the linen package, it’s well worth it! Wi-Fi was also never an issue as far as maintaining connection.

Bluegrass island concert

The home was convenient, extremely clean and had all the extras. The neighbor even stepped in to help us with our luggage. We enjoyed daily walks around the beautiful neighborhood and the home was convenient to everything.
