Happy days in plainfield

Me and my dad rented this house for 9 days. The pioneershouse was a treat to stay at. Well equipped. loved every minute of it.

Thanksgiving

Small, historic home. The kitchen has quality pots and pans. Even though there were just a few, i was able to cook a turkey. And prepare a full holiday meal for the three of us.

Delightful, cosy and welcoming retreat.

Everything that was as described, with more little touches that made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Lovey historic home, immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a home away from home.

Great location

The property was exactly as stated and if we hadn't had a problem with accessing the property I would have given it a five star review. Wasted 4 hours. I was told they were addressing the problem. So if that's the case, I would definitely stay there again.

Quaint and Historic

The house reminded me a lot of a museum, in a good way. I liked reading about all of its history in the binder provided at the home! The amenities provided were also great—especially the Chicago popcorn. How thoughtful! My only complaint is that the stairs going up to the second floor are incredibly treacherous for someone with any sort of mobility issues, so I just wish that that was touched on a little bit more in the description. The host was responsive to my messages and made check in easy with the key access code. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking to stay in the area, as it is very close to downtown Plainfield and a lot to do.

Adorable and affordable

We absolutely loved the house and the location of the home. It was a very short walk to the charming downtown of Plainfield. If you are extremely tall, have large feet, or are out of shape I might be weary of the stairs;) Otherwise this house is a gem!

Great place!

We loved our stay here. It's a lovely historic house within walking distance to charming downtown Plainfield. Very clean and includes lots of extras. We needed a full kitchen and this place delivered. Communication is fabulous. Beware very steep stairs with only bathroom downstairs and beds upstairs. This may be deal breaker for some. We enjoyed our stay immensely and def would stay again.

Charming Historic Property

I adored the 1834 farmhouse in the town of Plainfield, Il. Ideally located near the heart of the town. The property kept its old style charm and clean uncluttered space. My stay would have been near perfect if there was a bathroom on the second floor with the bedrooms. Navigating the stairs at night was a challenge. For this reason, my granddaughter and great granddaughter didn’t spend the weekend with me as originally planned. While I had a problem with the lockbox checking in, the owner promptly came over to assist. All in all, this property was charming and I had a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Cute and clean!

I loved staying here! The historic house was clean and well appointed. I loved learning a little about the history of the house. Only a couple blocks from the nice downtown of Plainfield, we could walk to dinner at night and coffee in the morning. I highly recommend this rental!!
