Hear the water run, go for a hike, drop a pole in the water to fish or simply relax on your private deck for a BBQ. It’s all possible here. Great stay very clean, very rustic. The river was a bit low for fishing but we drive about 5 minutes to another spot. The local restaurants are amazing and the sights are even better.

This cabin is the perfect place to stay if you are going to ride snowmobile or ATV. There are three cabins on site and a large parking lot. Trails are adjacent to the property.The cabin is clean and exactly as described in pictures. The host is very responsive to calls and text messages. Great place to stay!

Description of "steps from the Baptism River" are misleading but it didn't really matter to us. The king bed was nice but the sofa wasn't great for sleeping on, it should be a pullout sleeper sofa.

This stay was not what I expected. The post claimed it was newly refurbished, but it clearly was not. Had I had another option I would not have stayed. The photo on the site is of the backside of the unit so a bit deceptive. The property is undeveloped and looks more like a work site than a "family cabin". I've attached pics. Very disappointed when I raised concerns with the host and she didn't respond

Stephanie, I’m sorry for your disappointment. I would like to address a few things you mentioned. We allowed you to check in early at 1:30pm verse our normal check in time. After reading your review I looked back on the thread and there were no messages after you checked in until you departed so I’m not sure who or where you sent messages. I put in the check in instructions to always communicate via the platform so internally on my team we all get the same information and can be more responsive. I am certainly not saying we cannot be better but without communication it is more challenging. The cabin itself is 2 years old it was a new build with nearly everything inside less then 2 years old, we are priced to be an alternative to a hotel giving access to a deck, river, firepit etc. Lastly our cabin is on 2 platforms, we are new to VRBO and only have listed for a short time giving us 8 total reviews. Of those 8: 5 of them were 10/10 2 of them were 9/10 And yours. On the other platform we have a 4.88 rating out of 5 with 67 reviews. I am sorry you had a bad experience and wish you had reached out so we could have addressed any concerns you had. We are very responsive. Wishing you the best

"Steps from the river" is misleading

I found the description and photos of the exterior of this property to be misleading. "Steps from the Baptism River" along with the photos accompanying the listing made me think that the river would be within several yards of the cabin so we could hear it at a minimum, and maybe get glimpses through trees. However, this cabin is located right on the corner of Hwy 1 and several yards off of a Cty Rd, which means the only noise you hear if you open the windows is traffic. The river is not located on this property. You can walk to it, but you will have to walk down a hill, over a drainage/creek area, across an empty lot, then across a road and into the city day use area to find the river. The photos with this listing that show the river are not taken anywhere near the cabin. They are taken from the public day use area that borders the property. It's my fault for not asking more questions, but the proximity to the river was the main reason we chose this listing, so it was very disappointing to find out otherwise when we arrived. The cabin is cute and the photos are accurate to what we experienced inside the cabin. Things were a little dusty, but tidy. The deck had a comfortable table and chairs, and there is a firepit next to the cabin. The air conditioning worked well. The cabin smelled clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. There was one pillow and one quilt for extra bedding, and one bath towel and one washcloth for each guest. The kitchen had everything we needed for ea

OUTDOORS:

The Baptism River is only steps away from the cabin.

Simply follow the trail out the back of the cabin over the small bridge. You will see a multi use trail called the day use “Picnic Area.” This space can be used by anyone including any guest. There are grills and picnic table to use for the day or just go for a short walk. Eventually the East Branch and West Branch combine at a “Y” and it is very beautiful.

Cabin to 1st Picnic area on the Baptism River is about 1 city block. If you walk to the “Y” it is about 3 city blocks.

Bring your bug spray and see the beautiful river for a walk or the day. We took several pictures of this area and are shared in the photos of our Airbnb pictures. Enjoy!
