Dune Top Beach House with Views of Lake Michigan

A little more than an hour's drive from G.R. brings you to this dune-top beach house overlooking Lake Michigan. (The cottage is not on the lakefront) Have your meals out on the deck or inside the screened-in porch. Watch the variety of boats including the occasional barge navigating the lake in the distance. Lounge on the comfy couch with the cooling breeze coming from the sliders that span the front of the cottage. Take a 3- minute stroll down to the lake and sandy beach. Raft the lazy river near Stony Lake. Drive past the golf course and winery to Silver Lake and the dunes. Onward to Pentwater for some shopping or maybe a burger at the Brown Bear. In Heart there are some great biking trails. So much to see and do! Come on up and enjoy!!

We had the best family vacation at this little beach house. Love how close it is to the beach and there is a resturant and a little market for supplies relatively close. Definitely recommend.

Great cottage with an excellent view! It was the perfect getaway for our girls’ week. We loved the short walk to the beautiful, private beach and the convenient short drive into town and nearby restaurants. The cottage was clean, open, and comfortable, with a wonderful breeze in the evenings. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely love to come back again!

Hi Jean, I am so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay! The watercolor your daughter painted is so beautiful. Please thank her for me. I plan to frame the painting, so it will be on display the next time you come to the lake. Enjoy the rest of summer! Best, Carol

Great Vacation!

The house was just as described and clean. The location was great with easy access to the beach that was not overcrowded. We got to meet Carol at check in and she was super nice and answered all of our questions. The screened in porch was excellent any time of day and the view of the lake was perfect. If we stay in the area again, it would be at this house. We loved our stay!
