Loved the house. Great location. In between the sound (literally out the backdoor) and the beach (across the street). 2.4 miles from the Sea View Pier. Crab traps supplied (you still need a fishing license) 2 poles were there when we got there. You need tackle. Beds were comfy. House was cold. Deck is large in front and out back. I did have to fix the master bathroom door because it wouldn't close. The door to the fullbed room with washer and dryer wouldn't close either, I took the strike plate off so it would secure. Spent a lot of time in the house (my fault I got 3rd degree sunburn by Wednesday).. only problem we couldn't whip were ants. We found spray and went to town on them. Didn't matter, they seem to be coming from where the trashcan is.

Peaceful stay at North Topsail

Loved the location of the property. The view of the sound was incredible. The home was really clean. The property owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. This isn’t a critique but a suggestion, possibly adding a notebook containing helpful info such as trash days, check out procedures, etc. would be a great addition to the property!

Rest and relaxation.

Very nice and relaxing. Only down was coffee maker didn’t work so bought one. Neighbor had loud kids and a few walked in our living room

The pics that were on Vrbo were actually for the unit next door, 1865. I received an email & code for 1865. When I got my check in email it was changed to 1867. The main reason I got 1865 because in the pics the deck was bigger & the unit was updated. The side we got was 1867 which was not updated & had a smaller deck. It felt like a bait & switch. I reached out to the owner & they did contact us right away & offered an extra night or two but again, I was sold on the first place 1865. I asked for a partial refund & the owners agreed. Besides the mistake & that 1867 was outdated, inside was clean. I saw a roach in the kitchen but it is the south & it was only one but the dishes were sticky & I decided it was best not to cook there. The washer/dryer didn’t work well & was very loud. The fan in the bedroom with the washer/dryer shorted out. I did really love the location with the beach in walking distance & the view in the back was amazing! Again, I was sold on the updated 1865 not the needed updating & smaller deck 1867. I did appreciate the owner remedying the situation just be aware which unit you actually rent.

Perfect Vacation!

This place was the perfect vacation house for my family! It held 6 of us perfectly. Upon arriving the house was clean & we were able to check in early! It was decorated so nicely. The sound views are beautiful! There is enough backyard for the kids to run and play and it’s shaded underneath the porch. We spent a lot of time down there enjoying the sound. & the walk to the beach wasn’t terrible. It’s about 5 house down to the beach access. There is a parking lot across from the beach access and towards the end of the week it was so hot we drove there instead of walking. Prob a 10 second drive but it is worth it with little ones. We have a 2 & 4 year old so the walk was a little difficult heading back from the beach when they we’re exhausted so we found it easier to drive down. Recommendations : - a check out book so future renters know what to do for check out such as trash day, etc. - a few more kitchen items such as another pot for cooking, colander & a blender, we personally cooked in a lot so this may not be a problem for others! - a few of the rails on the back porch are loose so if you have littles just watch for those! I’m sure they will be fixed soon though! Overall the house was beautiful & we really enjoyed our stay!!!

Great location for a family vacation, needs a few small fixes.

The place is cute & quaint in a convenient location. Provided cookware and cooking utensils were sparse which made it challenging to cook. There seems to be serious issues with the bed frames & supports underneath (especially the master). We notified the owners the first night as we we went to lay down we both rolled inward to the center.. we looked underneath the bed and right away saw that the 3 middle support legs were sideways and the slats were heavenly bowed. We contacted the owners and they offered to come fix it, however, it’s something that needs to be replaced and would have inconvenienced our stay. The next day we reached out with 2 other small house issues and never received a response. (We had two towels on the master towel rack after our showers and it fell off the wall, we looked at it and saw that the drywall anchors were stripped, so obviously it had fallen off the wall previously and was not corrected appropriately). All of these things are easy, inexpensive fixes for this to be a 5 star review in the future. As is currently it was not worth the money. The master bed really needs to be fixed, it made it impossible to get a decent night sleep.

We had a wonderful week in topsail, and The Sand Dollar was a big part of what made it so enjoyable. The home was the perfect size for our family of 3 and provided everything we needed for a relaxing Vaca. The sound side location was especially peaceful, and we loved spending time on the deck, taking in the views. The kayaks were an unexpected bonus, and quickly became part of our routine. The dock was another highlight, offering great opportunities for both fishing and crabbing.The bedrooms were spacious, the mattresses were comfortable and firm, and having a full-size washer and dryer was incredibly convenient. We cooked most evenings, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essential cookware and supplies we needed.We noticed a few minor cosmetic updates in the progress, such as some patching and a towel rack repair, but nothing that impacted our stay in anyway.

The location to the beach was a 2 minute walk, not bad at all. We did drive to the beach access but only because we were lazy. The dock access was amazing to have, we did a lot of fishing and kayaking, which was awesome and the North Pier is 3 miles away and the North Point is about the same. As for the house, it is as described, there is some wear and tear (as expected) and if you read the other comments, it is as described. We wished that there was a few more or updated kitchen accessories like pans, silverware, and cooking utensils. The one bedroom does not really feel like a comfortable bedroom, the washer and dryer are in the closet (not a big deal but would be nice to know) and the bed was not comfortable. Other than that, great location and we enjoyed our stay.

An excellent place to stay on Topsail Island with ample room for multiple vehicles and family members. Great views of the intercostal water way and just a short walk over to the beach access.
