Love the complex but the apartment was just ok

We really enjoyed the complex—lots of grassy space around the pool, the deck area on the way to the beach, hot tub, etc. After our stay the management went out of the way to return a necklace our 6 year old left in the apartment that was found by the cleaners. But we did not love our unit, it was a little awkwardly laid out and the guest bedroom was small and cramped. We were disappointed that the listing showed photos from other apartments of a nicer view, when our lanai overlooked a parking lot. We did love the small touches of games, pool noodles, etc.

Great beach access

Great spot right in the main area of Siesta Key. Gary was wonderful to communicate with and the place was as advertised (comfy beds too btw). Very Walkable (5 min) to the south end restaurants / bars

Stunning Sunsets & Beach Location

Siesta Dunes is perfectly positioned to enjoy all that Siesta Key has to offer. The trolley stops right outside the complex for an easy way to get around; use it as parking on the island is pretty awful. The complex is clean and well kept. The condo unit is comfortable (especially the beds and armchairs!), but the living area rugs need to be thoroughly cleaned if not replaced entirely. Biggest drawback to the complex was not being able to use the swimming pool and hot tub much. They were closed way too early for the long Florida summer days. On many evenings, the pool area was locked well before sunset, so opportunities to watch the sunset and then head to the hot tub to relax were nonexistent. We would highly recommend the 10 p.m. closure time (as posted on pool area signage) for all summer guests, not at 8:30 p.m. We were told that the owners voted to close the pool early. That might work "in season", but it's nonsensical in the summer. On multiple occasions, my husband and other guests in the hot tub and swimming pool, were told to leave the area by security. The reason given on one early evening was that there were "clouds in the sky". This was very frustrating to those who actually needed the hydrotherapy pool for various injuries. It is a listed amenity that we looked forward to.

Great stay

Very nice stay here. We loved the futon in the master bedroom. Great spot for our toddler to sleep since she refused the pack n play we brought. Big fridge for all the snacks and food you need at the beach. Little walk to the beach but loved the second floor.

Siesta Key Relaxation

Rental unit is very nice, clean, and well equipped. The pool and grounds are very nice as well. The general deck area was great to watch the sunset from. We had a very enjoyable week!

Great Location and property

Recent updates to this condo made it a lovely place to stay--nicely furnished, beautiful beach/nautical decor, and equipped with every small appliance and utensil you could need. Beds were very comfortable. The covered parking spot right near the unit was a real bonus. The buildings and landscape are very well maintained. The on-site management was quick to respond to any request. The Siesta Dunes complex is unique with the dunes and natural vegetation on the short walk to the beach. The large deck with many tables, umbrellas, and chaise lounges (separate from the pool area) is a great spot for reading, sunning, socializing, and grilling dinner. The white sandy beach is incomparable. A free trolley came by regularly to take guests to any spot on Midnight Pass, the main road loaded with good restaurants and boutique shopping. This unit met our needs perfectly and we highly recommend it.

The owner of the condo is awesome and really nice. Everything you need is in the condo. The grounds are great. The staff is excellent and go out of their way to see you happy. We had a great vacation.

Great condo!

My family and I enjoyed renting this property for our week in Siesta. The owner was very easy to work with. The condo was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely book with him again.

My Father and I purchased this unit in 1994. We have enjoyed many summer vacations after my kids would finish school and made countless memories as this became our traditional Thanksgiving location!

As my children have grown up this is still our favorite place to spend time with their spouses and grandchildren!
