Stunning estate with amazing views!

The guest homes are beautiful, clean and well-stocked. We had three couples and stayed in both of the guesthouses. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of linens and many extras! Robin and Rodney were the best hosts! Looking forward to visiting them again. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous property with Lake Travis and Hill Country views

The Palms is a fantastic property including everything you'll need for a memorable vacation whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The hosts are more than thoughtful including a well stocked kitchen if you want to cook. It's also close to great restaurants for dinng out. Questions and requests are responded to immediately. Can't recommend The Palms and our hosts highly enough. This will definitely be a return destination for our annual girls trip.

Amazing location

Location is right on the lake, partially shares a view with The Oasis, which is just down the street. Very cool upscale neighborhood nestled into the cliff side. Easy access to shopping for needs and wants. Everything you could really want, this house has it except one thing: you are sharing the property with the owner. I value privacy above all other amenities just about. I was aware from the listing they lived on property but they actually occupy the same structure as the guests. So much for walking around nude. They were very nice and helpful and did not encroach on us, you would not know they were there except you can hear their footsteps and they talk fairly loud or possibly had a game night or party because they did get pretty loud during “quiet hours”.

Beautiful location and property

You will not be disappointed with this place! The location is perfect and the houses are beautiful!! I was worried about privacy but it was not a concern at all. The owners were available to help when we had problems getting a TV to work but other than that we never saw or heard them. We will be back!!

5 Star Rental Home

The check-in was very easy and the property was gorgeous. Everything was very clean, even the deck outside. They have made it feel like you have ventured out of Texas for a moment in time. It was so relaxing from the music everywhere, to the comfortable furniture, all the lounge chairs outside, the swing, and of course the wonderful spa! The only negative I have is concerning the boat dock. It was not located directly down the steps as it looks in the picture on the listing. I had people in my group that cannot climb rocks and the trail to get to the boat dock was dangerous. We had brought all our fishing gear and swimming peril to enjoy but due to the location and the journey to get there we decided it was far too dangerous. That was quite a disappointment. The owners told us they had to move the deck out further because of the drop in the lake level. Overall it was beautiful and breathtaking but I would not be willing to come back and pay what we paid without the deck more accessible.

Great Spot to Relax and Unwind

House is as advertised. Very responsive hosts that go out of their way to make sure they don't impede on guest privacy. Beds are comfortable and AC works great. The one time, we did need to get something serviced, it was addressed within minutes.

The Palms at Lake Travis is beautiful. The main house has many upgrades and everything is in excellent working order. The home is situated where a nice breeze blows through the back porch area which kept us comfortable (in August). The property is very well manicured and the lighting around the place is impressive. The beds are comfortable and the A/C system works well. The walk to the dock is challenging (as advertised) so good shoes are a must, but the cove is protected from wind and waves. We had a great stay and recommend the place.

Blissful week

This is a beautiful spot and we very much enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were available but never hovering. Friendly and helpful, but we felt our stay was completely private. If you plan on bringing your boat to the property, be aware of lake levels as they fluctuate. Our hosts were always able to keep us alerted and we were fortunate to have deep water. Thanks to Robin and Rodney for a wonderful stay!

Good stay

The property is a beautiful lakefront home on Lake Travis. The owners were very gracious in accomodating our schedule changes which impacted the trip. One item - the listing could be a bit clearer that this is part of an owner-occupied home - we actually did not realize that when booking. Overall, great stay and we really appreciated their hospitality!

Fantastic Lakeside House at Lake Travis

The layout is different because there are actually two buildings. That said, the mattresses have foam toppers, everything you would expect at home is in this house so this very comfortable. Tons of towels. We fished at the dock which was quite fun. We built a fire and roasted marshmallows. We got in the hot tub and told stories. We played basketball. We played with the dog. For a family, this place is just great. We have elementary age kids and a teenager. Everyone had a blast. The owners have excellent attention to detail. Everything is well explained. Sometimes rentals have goofy showers or uncomfortable beds. Neither true here. I will definitely return!

It is obvious that Robin takes the business of this rental seriously. She was extremely professional in her communications leading up to our weekend, and a pleasure to meet in person. The property is very well appointed, all instructions are clear, and it's almost impossible to beat the view.

Family Getaway

With our daily activities and life of working, online schooling for kids, father finally able to leave home and cancer free- we all needed to get away. The owners were super helpful. Very gracious and nice people! Very timely on responses to communications. And, the house was absolutely beautiful! The landscaping and lake view were breath taking. House is well maintained and the addition of the Garden House on property allowed those in the family privacy when needed. Watch for snakes and fire ants :) make sure you empty all pockets before getting in lake and remember where you leave your belongings 🤪. Our son lost his phone and keys, but again Robin was absolutely helpful and understanding with everything. Our family will definitely be back for another stay!

Gorgeous Grounds and views of Lake and wonderful hosts!!

This property is stunning! The manicured lawn and views of Lake Travis. The sunset. The lake swimming area. The outdoor patio. Amazing! Rodney & Robin were so kind and accessible during the whole weekend (they live In the 2nd/3rd floor above the main house) We grilled out and had a few friends over to celebrate an engagement and everything was perfect! The space indoors the main house is great. Kitchen is small but is airy and open to the living room. Strong AC! Well labeled lighting & controls for inside and out. Garden house is nice and private. Shared shower upstairs. Needs a little updating, but overall nice space. Loved the views from the two private balconies! So kind of these homeowners to share their lovely personal space with strangers!! Recommend this home for outdoor fun lake times!

Exceptional family staycation

Everything was just perfect. The owners were lovely and the place was spectacular. If anything, the pictures didn’t do it justice. Would absolutely go back.

Paradise found

We are locals but with the pandemic we were not going to be able to travel for summer vacation. We booked the Palms and now I’m not sure I want to vacation anywhere else! It was comfortable, an amazing view and the grounds are gorgeous. I truly felt like I was on a vacation even through I was 20 minutes from my house. I will definitely book again. Robin and Rodney are very welcoming and helpful.

Amazing spot

We loved this home and definitely plan to return. Note there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke when we arrived (in the Lakefront Suite main room). But it went away quickly. Hosts were wonderful to work with and my family of 5 had a great 4 days on the lake (we brought our jetski and tied it up at the dock too!).

Lovely home and location!

This was a great spot for a family gathering. Interior and exterior space were inviting and gave the ten of us room to spread out. The view of the lake was stunning and the quiet cove was perfect for just floating in the water. Every possible need, including a breakfast start, was met. Our hosts were gracious and friendly. We will return.

Amazing

Wow... it’s hard to put into words what a special place this is. Beautiful property and best location on lake. The owners were so welcoming and hospitable . They have not missed a detail in making this upscale property feel like a secluded resort . We can’t wait to visit again.

The Palms is located on the gorgeous Lake Travis main basin. Lake Travis is a rock lake, which means the water is generally a sparkly blue color (vs the brownish water found in a muddier lake). The cliffs around it add to the beauty of the area.

While Lake Travis is 65 miles long and there are many remote and hard to reach areas, The Palms is located on the main basin of Lake Travis, which is the closest to downtown, making it convenient to get to other places, dining, shopping, and other fun.

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with a scenic view and privacy, this is the spot for you!

The main basin of Lake Travis is the closest area to downtown on the 65 mile lake. We are also conveniently located just a mile down the road from Oasis Texas, with several restaurants, shops, and live music! Since The Palms is on the main basin, we have a beautiful view of the lake, and you can walk down to the dock from the backyard! If you have a boat, you can even tie it up to the dock at no extra charge - though advanced arrangements are requested.

The Palms is a very convenient and private lakeside retreat for couples, families, reunions, relaxing girls' weekends, and the like. We are always available to recommend nearby dining, suggest spa or golf locations, and provide ideas for fun activities for all ages. Many of our guests decide to just stay and enjoy property, and quite a few choose to extend their trips an extra day or two if availability permits.
