Spacious retreat on the Rim of the Royal Gorge

This cozy retreat is perched on the rim of the Royal Gorge, overlooking America's highest suspension bridge. Watch the sunset over the Sangre de Cristo mountains from this 1,500 square foot house positioned high above the Arkansas River.

Your group or family can spread out in the three bedrooms, two baths, and enjoy the large fireplace, panoramic views, open dining area, and secluded outdoor patio. A full kitchen is at your disposal with included spices, coffee, tea and sugar. A propane BBQ grill is available right outside the kitchen door.

Guest access
The lodge is located outside of the Bridge attraction so guests are free to come and go as they please.
Check-in is inside the Visitor Center.
Guests receive free admission to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park during their stay.
After hours check-in is at the Ranger post at the North end of the Visitor Center.

Extensive hiking and biking trails are a short walk from the house. There is ample parking.

Dogs are welcome. Pet fee applies if you have more than 2.
Do not leave dogs unattended inside or outside the house. Be aware that the area has cactus!
Please pick up and dispose of waste.

Wifi is available, however this is a remote location and some US carriers do not have sufficient coverage is this area. AT&T and Verizon work best here. Other carriers, specifically T-Mobile, do not.

This was hands down one of the coolest and most unique places we’ve ever stayed. The views were unbelievable and the lodge was comfortable and much bigger than the photos made it seem. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing stay! The cabin's setting cannot be beat and the views are simply breathtaking. As well, the interior of the cabin is warm and inviting. Well stocked kitchen. Fabulous large fireplace. And pet friendly. Management was always available and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend and will be returning for sure.

This was one of the best stays I have ever had. The views, the cabin, the access to the park. This is the perfect getaway. This felt like a home, a beautiful log cabin with everything you could need. Very clean and plenty of room

The property is just as advertised. Such a cool experience to stay in this incredibly unique property. We woke up to bighorn sheep every morning and the sunsets were beautiful! Great dog friendly property and my 10 year old absolutely loved the “coziness.” I personally don’t love gas fireplaces, but “wow,” they nailed it!!! Super cool!!! We will be back!

What a wonderful location. Could not have been more relaxing. Accommodations were better than advertised. Staff at the Gorge were very helpful (and the food at the cafe was really good). Recommend going offseason. We had the whole canyon to ourselves, except for the deer we said hi to every morning out our front door.

Royal Gorge

Amazing views! Very comfortable and relaxing for my family. Enjoyed the Gorge and Santa Express Train. Would definitely stay again.

This is not just a rental.....THIS is an EXPERIENCE!!  Just WOW!  With this location, they could have gotten away with a lot less. But, nope, this is the real deal.We spent 3 nights here, and spent much of our time either sitting at the windows, staring out at THAT view, enjoying the open windows with the amazing breeze (oh, yeah, and the AMAZING view!), or sitting on the patio, again, enjoying the view. The house is very spacious and comfortable. Can't think of anything more you could want. The added perk of getting free admission to the park was just icing on the cake- and we took full advantage of that. Access to the park was easy, and all the staff were incredibly helpful and kind.  We so enjoyed getting to ride the gondola for two days, as well as walking around the property/across the bridge, and just enjoying it all at a very leisurely pace. Even cooler:  getting to sit and stare at the deserted bridge at night from our living room- your own private view. Could not get better.We highly recommend this as a really spectacular, special place to stay while traveling- and we hope to go back and enjoy it some more very soon!

Indescribable Views

Rim of Royal Gorge home is amazing! We are an active family, and we could sit and look at the incredible view, out the windows and sitting in the chairs in the deck, all day long! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen. Loved the peacefulness and ability to hike from the property. Got out of my comfort zone and experienced the bridge walk and gondola. Was super excited to see a ringtail! Appreciated the cleanliness.
