We had a great time and spent most of our days hanging out on the dock, kayaking, fishing, and cooking food. It was a great place to get out of the city for a few days.

The cottage was clean, roomy, and equipped with everything we needed (and more!). It was comfortable and the decor has lots of charming details. We had wonderful weather, but had it been rainy out we would have been cozy and well-entertained anyway. We didn’t even get to the jigsaw puzzles or video collection. We paddled the kayaks out onto the pond one morning to enjoy the foliage amidst a bit of mist and it was serene and beautiful — it was great to be able to easily do that. Communication with the hosts was easy and we didn’t need much of it — they had already thought of everything. Would definitely stay there again.

This home was a perfect fit for our needs. Everyone got their own room and there was plenty of space. There was lots to do such as games, movies, puzzles but our favorite was kayaking on the beautiful pond. It was super quiet and we really enjoyed the big deck with the newer grills. Owners were super responsive when I had questions.

We, a family of four and sons' partners, stayed at the cabin on the South pond in Stark. We had a wonderful family reunion while enjoying kayaking on the pond, and hiking a few of numerous trails nearby. We also appreciated such a quiet time which was occasionally broken by calls of loons in this nature-surrounded and far-away from busy cities location. Lastly I sincerely thank our hosts who let us stay this well-cared cabin with spectacular view of the pond and green mountains. Besides, Cheryl, our host, kindly offered to ship two clothing items left behind to our address.

This Cabin has everything you will need and more. We felt like we were coming to our family cabin for the weekend. Waking up to Loons every morning was super relaxing. We will definitely be back.

The place had beautiful views and easy access to the waterfront. The owner was kind in letting us use their kayaks and canoe without question or hesitation. We all loved the layout of the place, as it was spacious enough to accommodate 6 people but still kept that cozy vibe. If you're planning on staying ANYWHERE in Stark NH, THIS is your best choice.

The most tranquil place with a fantastic view. Having our morning coffee on the deck watching the sun rise. The kitchen had all the necessary items to prepare our meals and serve them. The open concept and decor are more wonderful in person as the day turns into night.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this vacation home! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway and side by side adventures. There is limited space for trailer and trucks if you have alot of equipment you are bringing.The location was ideal — quiet and peaceful. We especially loved the scenic views.The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in a breeze. Highly recommend!

Everything was easy. The house was very clean, check-in and check-out were super easy to do, there is more than enough parking, the beds are well made, and it is a beautiful location. It has an open first floor concept which would make for a nice place for family to gather. There is an enclosed porch and an open porch. If you walk down to the end of the road, there is a walking path to the South Pond beach, which is nice.

The Lake House at Stark was everything we hoped for and more! We planned for two nights but extended to three because it was just that good. The three story cabin is cozy yet spacious, fully stocked, and sits right on a stunning lake. We spent our days fishing (and grilling our catch!), canoeing, kayaking, hiking nearby trails, and enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Phil and Cheryl were outstanding hosts, warm, responsive, and generous with their home and gear. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing yet adventure filled family getaway. We’re already planning our return!

Perfect!

We came for a weekend but left wanting a week. Spacious, clean, and cozy lake home in the woods. So many activities to do right there or within a short drive. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy the mountains. Check-in was easy. Everything was better than expected. We will definitely be back.

We visited this lake house on a warm week in August and spent most of the day kayaking, fishing, swimming, and exploring. We loved the views and the amenities and cooked almost every meal on their black stone grill on the deck to an amazing view! The cabin was well stocked which made buying groceries and cooking meals rather than driving 25 minutes to a restaurant the preferred choice!
