We had an amazing two week stay in Aquinnah at this old school beach home.
Away from the hustle and bustle, the large open home and vast property was a perfect locale for our family to convene for some island fun and relaxation. The home is vintage in style with space to spread out and it comfortably accommodated our multi-generational group and family dog. The 1.5 bathrooms are updated and the outdoor shower was key after a day at the beach. Much of the kitchen is in original form and more rustic in style but met our needs along with the grill which got much use.
The location of this home cannot of be beat: a large yard for corn hole, football, and dog romping; a welcoming deck for relaxing and dining with sweeping ocean views and stunning sun rises and sunsets; Gay Head Lighthouse visible from the property and a quick walk down the street; a winding wooded path to a beach on site great for fishing, walks and fire pits and Lobsterville Beach five minutes away by car and easily accessed with owner provided beach pass for swimming, shell hunting or just relaxing on miles of sandy beach. The well known Outermost Inn a few doors down which we enjoyed on our final evening for dinner.
Some trip highlights were a clam bake to go from Bill Smith’s, daily fishing at our private beach, s’mores in a beachside fire pit, croissants and cheese from the Grey Barn Farm, and quality family time and fun at this quintessential Island home. Thanks for sharing your family home with us!
