Waterfront Lakehouse - wander the 10 acre estate-like waterfront property. Tranquil and private with over 1000 ft of waterfront. Enjoy the beauty of nature, flowers, landscaped property as well as eagles, hummingbirds, bees and so much more. Watch the boats sail by as you lounge on the large deck. Enjoy the newly renovated open concept kitchen, living area and dining area with your family or friends. This is a beautiful and unique property on the renowned Bras d'Or Lakes in the World Unesco Biosphere.

This VRBO property is in it's second season and is run by Premier Hosts from the same area who have more than 30 five star reviews. Excellent communications from hosts.

We absolutely loved staying here! The cottage is definitely the most well equipped one I've ever been too - there is everything that you could need or hope for. It was extremely clean and the living space is spectacular with the gorgeous views. The kitchen is a joy to be in and finished to an extremely high quality. The garden and grounds were lovely to explore too. I would highly recommend this for a wonderful and peaceful getaway on Cape Breton!

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Bras d’or Lakes. Great communication from our hosts and you could tell how much care and thought they put into the guest experience. All the little touches they thought of that you might need to make your stay perfect were there. Loved the view from the deck and sitting in the chairs waterside on our own private beach. Wished we could have stayed longer! Would love to come back again. Thank you for everything!

Perfect base for exploring eastern Cape Breton

Everything was great! Incredible property and house - we really appreciated all the little touches. We loved all the wildlife and wonderful scenery. Communication with the hosts was quick and friendly.

Phenomenon little slice of paradise!

Gorgeous property, so relaxing and just incredible. Every morning was just perfect, with the little hummingbirds stopping by in the feeder outside the window, the stunning view of the lake, and being surrounded by nature. The hosts were outstanding, answered all our questions quickly and easily. Will definitely be staying again!

We had a great stay and couldn't have been more impressed. Everything you could need was supplied and it was cozy and sparkling clean. The addition of cheeky hummingbirds was the best.

Wir waren 3 Nächte vor Ort, sehr freundliche Gastgebet die uns bereits im Vorfeld wunderbare Tips gegeben haben.Da wir zur Lobster Saison da waren haben Sie uns mit allem nötigen für die Zubereitung und den Verzehr ausgestattet.Auch die beste Bezugsquelle im nächstgelegenen Hafen inkl. Uhrzeit wann die Fischer die wertvolle Ladung löschen wurden mitgeteilt. Das mussten wir einfach testen und Sie haben absolut recht gehabt mit Ihrem Tip.Rundum ein super Aufenthalt, eine super Unterkunft in wundervoller Lage.Doch am besten war die unkompliziert und freundliche Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern.

A Wonderfully well maintained Cabin

we very much enjoyed the VRBO. It was a home away from home. The panoramic windows (meticulously cleaned) made it feel like you were outdoors. The kitchen and huge island were wonderful to bake and cook at.We look forward to staying here again.

Cape Breton Golf Getaway

Wonderful clean light filled cottage for 2 couples. Beautiful view of the lake, nice large deck and lake access to swimming. All amenities clean and in working condition. Nice crisp linens and comfortable beds.

No detail overlooked

This was by far our best ever vacation rental. The property is clean, well maintained, and so well stocked. Lorna and Robert have thought about everything that vacationers could need and more. Cozy blankets near the back door, more than enough linens and towels and dishes. Communication was clear and effective. The location is beautiful inside and out with gorgeous landscaping and comfy furniture inside and out. We cannot wait to come back.

Beautiful property on Bras d'Or Lake

We loved our stay at the Lakehouse, Robert and Lorna are amazing hosts, super responsive with great suggestions. The property is breath taking, well maintained with a beautiful waterfront. Everything we needed was thought of, we loved walking along Nora's beach, reading on the deck and sleeping in comfortable beds!

Perfect Stay

The lake house is an exceptionally lovely property, with beautiful landscaping and delightful hummingbirds adding to its charm. The views are stunning, and even indoors, the large windows make you feel like you're outside. The house is well-equipped with everything you might need and more. The hosts are gracious, always available when needed but respectful of your privacy. As a lifestyle blogger and content creator, and part of a well-traveled family, I can say this place ranks very high for us. The value for money is exceptional. Having grown up in Cape Breton and visiting every summer to see my family, I can't wait to stay at the lake house again. We all enjoyed it immensely.

Fantastique !

Magnifique endroit naturel et calme au bord de l’eau avec une petite plage privée très agréable. Maison confortable, propre avec une très belle cuisine. Situé à 30mn de Sydney, 50mn de la forteresse de Louisbourg et 1h30 d’Inverness (Cabot Trail). Lorna et Robert sont très accueillants et font le maximum pour le bien être de leurs invités. À ne pas manquer. Séjour relaxant garanti ! Un grand merci à Lorna et Robert.

We are Lorna and Robert, property managers for Lakehouse on the Bras d'Or. Cape Breton is our home now and are both originally from here. We have had 5 successful years of managing our own vacation rental on the Bras d'Or with more than thirty, five star reviews and held premier host status.

We enjoy updating our own property, gardening, running, hiking, cycling and spending time with family and friends!

We enjoy the beauty of Cape Breton and especially this area, Islandview. People are kind, the pace is a little slower and the nature is breathtaking.

This is a 10 acre water-front property with two private beaches one at each end of the property. The ornamental trees are so beautiful as is the birds, wildlife and fresh air.

This property has been newly renovated over the last few years by the owner and this will be the second year we are managing this vacation rental.
