Comfort, Logistics & Community Care Building Setup & Consideration: This home is the grand, private 2-story main portion of a historic property that also contains 2 separate, completely private guest suites with their own entrances. Because this is a heritage building, sound can occasionally travel between the walls. We kindly ask our guests to be mindful of footwear, walking levels, and volume so everyone in the building can enjoy a restful stay. (Traveling with a larger group? All three listings can be booked together at a discount if available). Connectivity: We have reliable Wi-Fi throughout the entire home (speeds up to 50 Mbps), perfect for streaming your favorite shows, checking emails, and standard remote work. Arrival & Parking: Accessed via a sloped driveway. Guests have a dedicated grass parking area on the museum side of the property. Laundry: There is no laundry equipment inside the home. A local laundromat is a short walk away in the village. Cooling/Heating: Baseboard heating throughout; plenty of large windows to catch the coastal cross-breezes. Fans are provided for warmer summer days. You’re also within a short drive of many fantastic sandy beaches on the island! Seasonal Highlights: We are perfectly situated for those visiting Cape Breton for Baddeck Regatta Week in the summer or the world-famous Celtic Colours International Music Festival in the autumn. - No smoking or vaping of any substances in units or building. There will be a charge of $1000 or more to cover the cost of cleaning to remove the odor. - Not suitable for pets, $500 penalty for unauthorized pets in the unit. - Noise is to be kept to a low level after 10pm and over all respectful levels during your stay - For security reasons, there are no visitors allowed in the unit other than the guests approved to stay, unless otherwise communicated to and approved by the host. - Please do not flush paper towels, tissues and feminine products down toilet - Please use a reasonable amount of water and electricity to help us maintain a sustainable environment; excessive usage may result in additional charges. - Unapproved Late Checkout Policy: Checkout is 11 AM; unauthorized late checkout fees: $50 (up to 1 hour), $100 (after 11 AM), $150 (after 12 PM) - The person who booked is required to send a photo of their ID and the full names of the other guests staying for verification purposes.
