We had 8 people for Thanksgiving in the home. The kitchen, family room, and dining room area was superb for a family gathering. The home is well located and walking distance to a number of nice dining options. A great place to stay.

Beautiful Austin home

We had 5 girls staying here and the home was very spacious and comfy. Our only comment is that the cleaning staff needs to make sure they look for cobwebs and dust a bit better. We would stay again though. Host was extremely kind and responsive.

Best place in Austin for so many reasons

To start, this home in the beautiful Clarksville neighborhood is within walking distance of so many great places, from the grocery store to the coffee shop, park and excellent restaurants. It's also a short drive or Uber ride to the entertainment district with restaurants, live music venues and many other nightclubs. It's also not a far drive from the Austin airport. The home itself is quite cozy and spacious, as well. Great kitchen and outdoor patio, too...and with a grill in case you want to cook out. We got really lucky, and can't recommend this home any higher.

BEST PLACE ON VRBO IN AUSTIN

Stayed here with 7 of my buddies from out of town for our spring break and it was the best trip ever. The house was perfect size for our group even a little bigger than needed! Wonderful amenities and perfect location with a cute neighborhood Main Street with restaurants, coffee shops, bars, grocery stores, and parks literally one block away. Also, for bars and clubs in austin the Main Street is 6th which was within walking distance away from the house making no Ubers necessary! Host was beyond nice and fabulous. COULD NOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!!

Great location, lots of space in the house and host was very easy to communicate with. Overall we had a great stay. One negative for us was the furniture in the great room. Furniture is low to begin with and when you sit on it you sink in. Seems like you are close to sitting on the floor.

There were some issues with the house cleanliness. The master bathroom had vomit on the toilet that hadn’t been cleaned from the previous visitors. There were also major problems with the house security that we had to constantly communicate with the house owner on.

Comfortable, large, house.

We greatly enjoyed hanging out in the two storey living room. Plenty of bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms. Check in and out were super easy. Great location with nearby restaurants and downtown Austin a little over a mile away. Highly recommended.

My team had a wonderful experience with this rental! The property manager met with them at the house to show them around and made sure they were settled with everything they needed. It was easy and fast to communicate with them and they answered all our questions thoroughly. The location is great and so close to so many fun and interesting things in Austin. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Great stay for a group

We came to Austin with a group of guys for a bachelor party. This house was perfect. Lots of space, very clean and comfortable. Laura met us at the house for our arrival and walked us through. The neighborhood is fantastic...quiet residential area with lots of very close locations for groceries and a meal if you do not want to stray far but close enough to downtown to walk for get an inexpensive Uber/Lyft. I highly recommend the Galaxy Cafe for breakfast. We all had a blast and if I make it back to Austin I will definitely look Laura up for this house to stay in again! Made our weekend fantastic!

Good Stay

The house was great location wise, and plenty big enough to host a large group. The neighbors on one side are apparently a little sensitive, but that's not a reflection on the owners. Only suggestion would be to upgrade TV package. With the Masters/NHL playoffs/NBA playoffs all on it was frustrating not to get the broadcasts. Thanks to Laura and her husband for accommodating us, would stay here again.

I've lived in Austin, Texas since 1984 when I started school at the University of Texas -- go horns! I love Austin and all the fun things there are to do here. The city is so vibrant! I lived in this house for 18 years and only moved a few miles away because of a growing family. Hands down -- this is the best location in town because of its close proximity to everything there is to do and the fact that you experience no traffic! No need to even get on a freeway to get to downtown, UT, Zilker Park, and more.

This home is a unique pocket of Austin called 'Clarksville' and it's a fabulous pedestrian area where, within 3 blocks, you can walk to the local grocery (Fresh Plus), Italian bistro (Cipollina), coffee house (Cafe Medici), five star restaurant (Jeffrey's), drug store with original soda fountain (Nau's Drugs), church (St. Luke's), 9th street park, local watering hole (the Tavern), and more.

I bought this property because I wanted to be able to walk to work downtown, the University of Texas, and the State Capitol. I also wanted to be able to have fabulous restaurants and night spots near my home. Some of the best dining in Austin, including Sandra Bullock's, Bess Bistro, southwestern cuisine favorite, Z Tejas, and hidden jewel, Cafe Josie, are all walking distance. The art galleries along West 6th Street and the bars, including the Johnny Cash tribute, the Mean Eyed Cat, are all walking distance.

The outside of the property is very unassuming, and then, when you walk inside, you see a fabulous and extensive remodel with warmth and all modern amenities. This is one of the larger homes -- 4000 square feet -- in the area and one of the few that has ample parking (circle drive in front and street parking) and a spacious backyard with a grill and deck for BBQ'ing.

It is 4000 square feet with two story ceilings in the living room and wonderful shared spaces (2 story living room, pergola, outdoor deck, BBQ, patio, etc.) but also 4 individual bedrooms when privacy is needed. Free parking in circle drive (fits 3 cars) and on the street. Neighborhood grocery, dining, coffee shop, and laundry up the street. Oversized fireplace in living room. Modern kitchen, laundry, and living amenities.

Walking distance to SXSW and other downtown festivals, 6th Street, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Lady Bird Lake, South Congress, the University of Texas, the State Capitol, Castle Hill, shopping on Lamar and the heart of the music scene in Austin. No need to get stuck in traffic to experience everything Austin has to offer.
