It was a great house loved the elevator my dog will not go down stairs so it was a huge help. The yard was big enough for him to run an play he’s a big dog. Pool was beautiful a the beach being across the street was a plus to. House was clean an was had all we needed. Would stay again.

The property was great.! Loved the location to the beach, decor, and large space. Only drawback was the cleaning company could have done better.

Winter Beach Is Fun

We usually rent a home in Kitty Hawk during the summer, but decided to mix things up and spend New Years in Nags Head. The home was perfectly situated on the beach road with a close cross walk and views of the beach. The house offered all of the amenities, including an elevator and a hot tub. We would definitely sty here again--maybe in the summer next time!

We liked it!

Easy beach access, nice pool and hot tub. Well maintained and heated pool a plus! Some decks and railings need to be replaced/stabilized in very near future. We had a good time and really liked it! Loved the extra play space for the dog! Yard had no THORNS which is a huge plus so very pet friendly!

I loved that there was a master bedroom on the top floor; this made our stay much easier. The only thing was that the bed frame in this room was larger than the mattress, which resulted in me hitting my shins almost every night when going to bed.

It was wonderful, a huge backyard for me run and do my business in. There was even my own plastic pool just like their pool. That is what I call a real dogs life.

Pros: Kitchen was well stocked, AC worked like a charm, elevator was a big help, downstairs fridge came in handy, bedrooms allowed for privacy.Cons: TV sound system not easy to figure out, lighting upstairs was oddly very dim at night, limited seating on the decks and towel service shorted us on towels but that not the owners fault!

Location was perfect , right between Austin seafood and I said pier. Heated pool and hot tub were very nice. I called the rental company with a couple of concerns and they were taken care of immediately. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this house to friends. Only thing I would add more lighting in the house in the kitchen and living room, and the bottom level.

Only complaint was the lack of kitchen necessities - salt/pepper, paper/aluminum foil products, etc. It was not as well-stocked as some of the other properties in which we have stayed in the past.

In saying that, there is a required items list that is checked prior to the season starting. Before the house is available for rent, the list must be checked off in it's entirety. Unfortunately, guests sometimes remove these items during their stay. I am sorry you were missing some necessities and had you called, I would have made sure that you received these items immediately. None of our homes have salt/pepper, paper products or aluminum foil in them prior to guest arrival. For hygiene and sanitary reasons, we do not provide these things and try hard to make sure that is clear in the prearrival information. We thank you again for your feedback and hope that we see you next year!

September Beach Week with my Adult Kids

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my first stay in Nags Head. I have ben coming to the Banks since the seventies with multiple stays in Duck, Salvo and Buxton. Nags Head street noise was overwhelming over Labor Day weekend. On the positive side we were close to restaurants and stores. The house was okay and very close to the beach. The swimming pool was the big draw. Beautiful and framed by palm trees.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Happy Dog Days is a wonderful beach house. It's location is perfect - near the pier, the ocean, shops, and in the nicest part of Nags Head. The house is decorated and furnished beautifully. It was sparkling clean when we arrived, and maintenance responded quickly to minor issues (eg. Light bulb replacement, fixed a fence latch), even coming on a Sunday when minor repairs are generally held until the next weekday. It was hands down the best vacation we've ever taken, and we will definitely be booking Happy Dogs Days again.

Family vacation 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Happy Dog Days last year and had such a great time I reserved it for this year. A great home floor plan and great yard. Across the street from beach. This year when we arrived the pool was dirty and had to wipe down the table and counter. Not the owners fault, I have heard they have some house prep problems this year with getting people to work. People working rushing trying to keep up. Overall, a nice home and near alot to do.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience at this rental. It’s rare to find a rental that welcomes pets, let alone one that is centered around pets. We had a blast! Steps from the beach, we’ll-stocked rental. The backyard pool and dog-space was exceptional. The house was absolutely spotless, which is impressive given that it is pet-friendly. Rental company was responsive to maintenance concerns. Elevator was not working during our stay, but company communicated issues ahead of rental. Would 10/10 recommend.

Happy Dog Days Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great vacation but the house needs some serious cleaning. It was clean but needs to have a deep cleaning down. Air vent filters need to be changed, clean under beds, dusting, and removing pet hairs especially with it being a dog rental. The people before us left it in horrible condition and took the cleaning crew a long time to clean but still it is only surface clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We definitely enjoyed our time. The lawn was definitely in better shape than years past. They changed 2 chairs upstairs. Generally clean in the cottage. The place is dog friendly so I know it can get dirty but whomever stayed before had a fluffy dog, there were some bits of fluff left upstairs. My only concern was the chlorine in the hot tub was a little intense and broke my husband out. The pool could have been cleaner. Would stay here again.

Dog house

Reviewer Comments: House in great location, close to beach, dog friendlyMaintenance calls were completed in a timely mannerDisappointed in things that were broken: microwave and second microwave barely worked; broken tile around pool; broken bunk bed. Sprinklers came on at very weird times, i.e 4pm-6pm. Couldn't enjoy back yard. More utensils for cooking would be great. Grass clippings in pool-would look for a new pool maintenance company or new ground crew.
