Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations. I do want to clarify that whenever an issue was brought to my attention during your stay, I responded promptly and took action right away. For example, when the HVAC concern was reported, a licensed technician was onsite the same day. I also coordinated with my cleaner and maintenance support to address items as they were communicated. Many of the additional concerns listed in your review were not raised during your stay, which unfortunately limited my ability to address them in real time. My goal is always to resolve anything that comes up as quickly as possible so guests can fully enjoy their visit. I take both safety and cleanliness very seriously and have already reviewed the items mentioned to ensure everything is in proper condition moving forward. Barrier Dunes is a wonderful, quiet beachfront community, and I take pride in providing a positive experience for my guests. I regret that this stay did not reflect that standard and will continue working to ensure future guests have a great visit. Steve

Being so close to the beach means salt air takes a toll very quickly, so I’m always replacing items, but it can feel like a never-ending process. I also continually work on updating the property while keeping it as affordable as possible so that families can enjoy a comfortable, memorable stay. I’m very glad that you enjoyed your stay. The sofa was replaced the day you left. My cleaners put the new sofa in the unit when they cleaned after your stay. I’m sorry I couldn’t have gotten it there for you to use. Hopefully you can see and use it on your next stay.

I am very sorry that the spindle on the deck railing was not securely attached. We being as close to the water as the property is, the salt air really wears things out. I had it repaired immediately. I am very sorry that my townhouse was not available for an early check in. As you stated, you did book it last minute and it was my only open day on the 4th of July weekend. My cleaner had the unit ready for you at 4:05 PM and the normal check in time is 4:00 PM. She wanted to make sure that my place was properly cleaned and ready for your stay. I feel that a one star review is very unfair. I’m sorry that you had to wait 5 minutes past the normal check in time. I hope that you enjoyed your stay and I would appreciate if you could reach out to me about any deferred maintenance that needs to be done at my unit. It has been book solid almost all summer and I’m sorry if anything did not perform properly. I would have been happy to have sent my repairman to take care of any problems that you had if you had let me know.
