Great beach cottage

The cottage is very nice in a great location, convenient to food and Outer Banks attractions. Guests deal directly with Anita (the owner), and she is great. Would stay here again!

Fantastic Family Stay

Great place! Location was central to everything. Amazing sunrises. Saw a school of dolphins playing in the water. Hot tub was great to relax in. Kitchen was spacious, open living area and beds were comfortable. A few grocery stores down the street to shop at for anything you didn’t bring.

Memorable Family Vacation

This Vrbo has excellent beds and pillows. It is very clean. The kitchen is exceptionally clean and well equipped.The outdoor stairs leading to the front door are steep and wouldn’t be safe for elderly guests especially when carrying suitcases and other supplies. We were disappointed that the windows toward the ocean don’t open so we could not hear the waves from indoors. The window screens were the only thing not well maintained.

Great Beach House

Definitely on the beach

Enjoyed this little gem of a cottage by the sea. All of beach desires fulfilled. Very clean, updated and close to everything we needed. Will be booking again.

Great location and property! Be mindful you’ll need to supply your own sheets and towels (rent or purchase). Kitchen is well stocked for making meals at home and the house is clean. Overall a great place to enjoy the Outer Banks!

Fantastic oceanfront beach house

This home was perfect for our family of 3 adults and 2 kids. It was very clean, the updated kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of seating. We enjoyed being able to walk right onto the beach or enjoy the view from the deck chairs. Restaurants and shopping are close by. We hope to return some day!

Excellent experience

We had an amazing stay at Gracie Bell’s Sea Shell. This is the last summer that MY Gracie will be vacationing with us before college, so it was very special. The property was beautiful. The owners were beyond helpful. And even when we had a mishap on OUR end, they were more than gracious and understanding. I recommend them and this beautiful beachside home to anyone!

Adorable House on the Ocean

We had an amazing time at Gracie Bell's. The layout worked perfectly for our family of 5 with two teen boys. We loved being able to hear the ocean at night and to walk there first thing in the morning. The kitchen was fully stocked. Highly recommend.

Memories for a lifetime

We had an amazing stay at Gracie Bell's-Anita is the best VRBO host we have ever had. So responsive with any questions I had before and during trip, home was immaculate, hot tub was incredible and cleaned twice while we were there, which was great! Views were breathtaking, dolphins at sunrise and sunset from the deck. We will absolutely be booking again!

July Stay

We just stayed at this lovely property with three older, adult couples. The house is great and was very clean. The kitchen is equipped with anything you would need. The quality of everything was very nice, not mismatched basic supplies you often get in a rental. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate as we expected but managed to get in some beach time. The owner, Anita was extremely responsive to the questions we had. The hot tub was very clean and enjoyable! This is a lovely spot for a group of friendS or family. The two bathrooms and additional outdoor shower were a plus!

Amazing Outer Banks Home !!!!!

If you are looking for an amazing, on the beach, very clean, so cozy you won't want to leave home, this is it!!!! Anita is so friendly and responsive a truly a great host. You won't find a better rental, just look at the reviews. We did and were not disappointed, exceeded our expectations , and a hot tub to boot. Thank you Anita we will be back again .

A Cozy Oceanside Gem

It felt like we were staying in a well loved family home by the ocean. We ranged in age from 16 months old to 88 years old and were all at home. Great grandma needed a little help climbing the stairs up to the house, but once inside didn’t have to worry about stairs inside the house. Clean, comfortable with great views of the dunes and ocean and the best hot tub I’ve soaked in. Thankful to have stayed here. Great proximity to stores and restaurants. Highly recommended.

You have to bring your own sheets and towels this was hard as we were flying. The hot tub is falling apart there were ants that we couldn’t get rid of Hated the sand driveway needs concrete. I would not return

We loved Gracie Bells Seashells Cottage on the Beach

Check-in was easy. The house was perfect for our family of 5. We have 3 kids under the age of 6 including an 8 month old. All the rooms were on the main level, which was perfect for us. The heat and humidity have been brutal this summer and the A/C was excellent. The house has beach chairs and toys for the kids, but we splurged and paid for Farm Dogs to set up/take down our canopy and beach beach chairs for the week. They refunded 2 days where the winds (and surf) were dangerous due to Tropical Storm Debby. The walk from the house to the beach is super close (like 20-30 yards max) and the beach was great. Not too crowded either. We were 10-15 mins from a great (and inclusive) playground as well as restaurants, shops, etc. They have a great aquarium about 30 mins driving for beach break/bad westher days. The surrounding area was quiet and we could hear the ocean each night. The hot tub was amazing and helped us recuperate each night. Anita was super responsive and we truly enjoyed our stay. Anita provides all the amenities for cooking/meal prep etc. As stated earlier, this house and location were perfect for our family of 5! excellent

Great location right on the beach, amazing host!

We spent almost two weeks at this lovely property over Thanksgiving. We loved being right on the beach. Our kids (8/5/5) had a blast playing in the sand and it was incredible to be able to walk directly from the house to the beach. We saw dolphins almost every day, caught fish right off the shore, and enjoyed long walks and gorgeous sunrises. The proximity to restaurants and stores was very convenient. This was our first time to OBX, and we also liked being centrally located, which made it easy to explore different areas (Roanoke, Cape Point, lighthouses, etc.) The cottage is clean and cozy, with the feel of visiting a family home. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We didn't initially notice that we had to provide our own sheets and towels, which was a small hassle since we flew in, but wouldn't be an issue if you were driving and had plenty of room to pack. Perhaps most notably, Anita was an AMAZING host. We had a few minor things pop up, and she was so responsive and helpful, even on Thanksgiving! She was also so kind and flexible when our kids got sick and we had to rearrange some plans. We rent VRBOs often, and she was hands down the best host we have experienced. Highly recommend this fabulous property!

Easy process and great people!

Super easy process setting up the trip! Anita was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. Close enough to food and stores but enough off the beaten path to enjoy the serenity of the ocean.

Wonderful says it all

From beginning to end, this has been a pleasant experience. Rapid and thorough responses from the hosts, ease of check-in, and a clean and comfortable place to stay. The house is far enough away from the public beach access ways that you feel like it’s a private beach. The updated kitchen, high dining table and full height windows just add to the experience… and let’s not forget about the hot tub!!! Don’t forget to sign the guestbook (nice touch). The ONLY thing, that I would advise perspective renters about is that you cannot see the beach from the deck as the photo shows. The dunes have been raised for protection. There is so much to do in this area of the Outer Banks that you could easily argue to stay 2 weeks, just make sure to spend enough time relaxing on the beach! Thank you again A&T!!

Great vacation location.

We really enjoyed the beach being right outside the door, the hot tub, and the well-equipped kitchen. Gated deck made a great place for our 19-month-old granddaughter to play. Beds were comfortable. Great communication with owners whenever I had a question. My only suggestion is to have plug covers and cabinet locks available if needed to help with your smallest visitors.
