Amazing location! The host Terrie was very communicative and we had no issues checking in or out. We love the north shore and staying at this cottage made our trip even better! I do want to note that the cottage is one of a quad-plex (first floor, so can walk right to beach from the patio!) and the beach is shared with a hotel, so it was not as private as we initially expected, but that didn't affect our overall experience. Would book again!

The ground-floor cottage is part of a four-unit complex. There are three complexes and they are adjacent to a 9-story condominium building. The sandy beach is right in front of the cottage and if you are lucky, you may see green turtles resting in the morning by the shore. The unit is very well furnished (beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, surf boards, kitchen). There is no a/c but there are plenty of fans so we felt comfortable. This part of the island has a lot of Food Trucks, not so many regular restaurants. We enjoyed Ken’s Fresh Fish Market where we got an ahi katsu sandwich and sashimi. Going to the Polynesian Cultural Center is definitely worthwhile and since it is only 10 minutes away, you can go back 3 more times on consecutive days—it is very well run (recommend the chicken dish at the Samoan eating place). For groceries we went to Foodland in Laie. The cottage is well located, it is an older unit but has all you will need during your stay.

Paradise Awaits

Terrie has an amazing beach front property which words can't explain. We didn't want to leave lol. 40 min from Waikiki and the HNL airport. Markets and shops all close by. I will be back! Thank you Terrie!

Amazing Little Cottage

It was the perfect size for me and my spouse. There was construction happening during business hrs, but they weren’t too loud. We loved how close the cottage was to the beach. The lanai was the best part: eating our meals with the ocean breeze. If we had to complain about something, we would say that it does get warm in the cottage. We understand many places in hawaii don’t have ac units, so we knew what we had coming. We tried leaving all the windows open to let the air flow through, so it helped a little. Terrie is great with communication. Answered all our questions when needed.

This property is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Steps away from the beach. This part of Oahu is a slower pace than Honolulu.

Beautiful view!

While the cottage is a little old, it's comfortable and had everything we needed. The view, closeness to the beach, and the sea turtles basking on the beach in the early mornings definitely make it a place to experience. The host, Terrie, is extremely helpful and responsive.

Beyond Fabulous!

Stay was simply wonderful! Turtles galore and Terries property is the sweetest of all the cottages! Terries sweet all day long as well. Seriously this stay will make you come back for more.

Amazing Getaway

We can't wait to come back! The cottage is petite and lovely, with ocean views and a lanai that is just steps from the water. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our host, Terrie, was proactive about communicating with us regarding some construction happening during our stay on an adjacent building, which we sincerely appreciated. Terrie also checked in with us during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. We'd absolutely recommend this little oasis to friends and family, and we can't wait to return!

Great Location

We stayed in the Lanai the entire time. Saw turtles every morning on the beach. Very relaxing and met many great people! Terrie the host was wonderful.

Great location

The best part of this place was its lanai and ocean front location. Appreciated all the beach equipment. We also saw sea turtles on the beach daily at dusk. From 1-19 max one day. The cottage is a set of 3 with 4 units each and part of a high rise condo complex in need of and in process of restoration. Hence the scaffolding and noisy work right behind the cottage that prevented enjoying its location during the day. (Terrie did inform us of street side work when we made the reservation and updated us that the work had moved to the backside of the cottage but unfortunately it was too late to cancel.) The interior is worn and could use a good cleaning and editing of accumulated stuff. The presumably older photos make it appear better than the reality. The exterior cottage photo is of the other 2 cottages.

Perfect Hawaiian get-away

The cottage delivers … it offers premium location (10 steps to the beach); a lanai to enjoy the views day and night; easy trips to the local food truck scene and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Drive a little further north, you’ll be at Dole Plantation and the Banzai Pipeline to watch surfing. Honolulu is only an hour south. We’ll definitely be back - one our best vacations !!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. Great place to get away from the crowds and explore the northern area of the island. 15 min. to Kualoa Ranch where there is something for everyone

Perfect Location

The location and description of the cottage is 100% accurate. It's a beautiful, peaceful location just steps from the beach. You're also within easy driving distance to all the attractions of the North Shore. You can easily have a morning swim, see some sights and then return for a early evening swim...or, spend the entire day at the cottage/beach. There are plenty of food options nearby. I especially liked the kitchen at Kaya's Country Store and it's an easy walk. Terrie is a great communicator and really cares that you enjoy your stay.

Perfect!

This cottage was absolute paradise. Everything was just so wonderful - the view, the relaxation, the beach being a mere 30 feet from the lanai. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. The space is set up perfectly to feel spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make/have meals. Many thanks to Terrie for the caring, kind, and quick communication as well.

The cottage was wonderfully comfortable and well furnished/supplied, in a great location on O'ahu. It was perfect for my short trip!. My only concern is that the standard sized pick-up truck that I rented at HNL would never have been able to get into parking spot #16, if the slot next to it (#15) had been used. I was lucky that slot next to mine was unoccupied throughout my entire stay. The rental needs to explicitly advertise the very tight parking/maneuvering radius that goes with the assigned parking stall for this cottage, and advise renters to bring a compact vehicle. Thanks again for the great accomodation, Terrie!

My wife and I were here for our Anniversary. It was a great cottage. Its just as described. The beach was wonderful, with opportunities to see sea turtles steps away. We would love to have been able to stay longer and will be back.

Great Getaway Spot to Relax

We wanted a relaxing location to getaway from the busyness of the big city, and this place was just that. 10 steps out the back patio, and you’re on the beach. The place was cool enough with the fans, and it had everything we needed to have peace of mind, including kitchen items to cook in when we wanted to. Definitely a spot to come back to.

Great place to enjoy the whole island

First off, Terrie is great to work with…she’s quick to respond, answered all my questions and gave us great tips! This is a great little cottage that reminds me of a south Florida bungalow. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the refrigerator/freezer is great! This was our first time in Hawaii/Oahu and this is the coast to stay on! Easy to get anywhere on the island from here! We traveled over the entire island and saw all it’s beauty! A great week! Loved the lanai and our own beach and listening to the ocean. My husband swam with turtles! (Of course, that’s when I wasn’t in the water…Lol!) The last afternoon I was looking forward to floating on tubes and snorkeling at the beach, but alas rain came so we enjoyed just being in the lanai! Saw our only rainbow on Oahu that afternoon and got a great pic to remember our fabulous week! Mahalo Terrie!

Amazing Views, Lanai

Perfect property for a couple. Although, the place is a little dated and tight, the views can't be beat. Walking right onto a beautiful beach was the best feature of this property. Terrie is a great host and called to check up on us and see if we made it in okay. She also provided great tips on where to spot turtles in the early hours of the morning. Pros: on a beautiful beach, amazing lanai, thoughtfully furnished with all essential items, good internet, walking distance to shops and amazing food trucks Cons: tight space, a little dated, no a/c or dishwasher, noise from neighboring units. Overall, we had a positive experience and recommended for a couple who are willing to overlook some of the drawbacks.

Great little cottage on the ocean with all the comforts of home

Cute little cottage on the beach. We saw turtles nesting on the beach and swam with them right outside. Great winds kept us cool at night Kitchen/laundry and all the amenities of home. Terrie was a thoughtful and responsive host-even checked in on us when the power was out in the area. The location was perfect for us to set out on adventures all over Oahu. Fantastic cottage to use as your home base and a home away from home. Quiet area, but life starts early on the island and you can hear roosters and people outside. Not an issue for us, we were trying to make use of every minute, but would be hard to sleep late if that’s your lifestyle . Loved this little cottage with its beautiful lanai

I have lived in Hawaii all my life (4th generation)and finally got a place near the ocean to enjoy in my Senior years. I spend days here and have a difficult time going back to my city house. I love fishing and swimming and can watch my fishing pole from the living room, however, now I can also enjoy the sound of the waves, the beautiful mornings and lovely sunsets from my little Hale.

I have rented beach houses all the way down the shore of Punaluu, Hauula, and Laie. This area was always my favorite because of the excellent beach that is never crowded. To be able to stay in my swim suit all day going into the water, out to cook, into the water, out for a drink and back into the water is the true Hawaiian Lifestyle.

This little cottage actually is enjoyed by all my family and friends. It is just the right size to and is just be an intimate hideaway. The right music at sunset will make for a wonderful memory.
