5 Star Cottage 1225 sq ft newly remodeled for handicapped accessibility. Sleeps 6 with 1 King bedroom, 1 double bedroom, a living room with a 1 queen sofa bed and recliner. Kitchen contains an island and dinning table that seats six. There are 2 full bathrooms.The 2 bedrooms and living room have hardwood floors. Outside there is a 10 ft x10 ft covered pergola with a table and 4 chairs and a fire pit for roasting hot dogs and smores. Located 1 minute from ULM, 2 minutes to restaurants and 5 minutes to hospital. Quiet neighborhood nestled on 1 acre with huge oaks and pines with bayou accessi. 5 parking spaces with ample room to entertain. Small pets are welcome and all service animals.

DON’T MISS OUT ON AWESOME STAY

The Owners, Mr. Phil & Miss Donna are just lovely & kind folks! Just A few feet off the Bayou & Mr. Phil will hook you up for fishing off their private docks & a beautiful gazebo. Plus, a Mr. Phil Hosted boat ride on the bayou pushed our stay over the top! Beautiful place, beautiful Hosts & THE MOST AWESOME BEDDING & I have never slept better!!!The property grounds are meticulously well cared for & great neighbors too!A1, 10 Plus and you’ll feel right at home like family. It was such a Blessing & will stay again if available. .. it’s sincerely AWESOME & PEACEFUL SO DO NOT MISS OUT !!!

Owners felt like family!

This cottage is absolutely perfect! Beautiful inside and out. Loved the decor! Great location, super comfy beds, fully stocked, and felt so warm and comfortable. Our boys especially loved the big tree out front and watching baseball from it. The real gem is the owners. Phil went above and beyond for us during our stay! Highly recommend!

Comfortable and spacious

We were in town really just to dodge the cold front and Monroe looked interesting. The house was super comfortable and quiet. I understood the property to be right on the bayou, which it isn’t, but given the rain we had during our visit it’s probably a good thing. We liked the house so much I sketched the floor plan for when we design our future little retirement beach house!

Cute little old house

It's an old house with antique charm. I hosted a small gathering with friends for my birthday. I was the only one who slept here. My friends and I were able to visit, play games, eat, and have fun. I wouldn't be able to do that at a hotel! It's right next to ULM and a road, so you'll hear baseballs being hit and cars going by every now and then. It was a lovely place to stay!

Perfect little cottage

Between the Bayou and Baseball

Great 1/2 week stay in a cozy (but roomy) cottage by the University of Louisiana Monroe. The owner gave us a sunset boat cruise around the bayou and told us all about the ski team, bayou critters, and the various properties along the way. The house layout is a little odd, but the comfortable beds, cozy living room, and overall ambiance more than made up for it.

Great location for ULM activities

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Very close to ULM which was important to us as we were attending two ULM football games. The hosts were very attentive to our needs and responded very quickly. We wanted to grill so they brought us a grill. Great outside area for relaxation and fun. Will stay here again if we come to Monroe.

Couldn't have asked for more!

The Nelsons were a an absolute delight, very kind, and worked with us to help extend our stay unexpectedly. Our daughter's softball tournament bracket turned our stay from 2 nights to 3. And Mr. Phil's response: "No problem!" The property was breathtakingly beautiful, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. Plenty of space for an 11 yr old and 7 yr old to play. Will definitely book with them again next time we're in Monroe!

Most Godly

Due to an ac problem we ended up spending most of our vacation with Phil. Nah just kidding because of the ac we met Phil and stayed in their home. We had the most beautiful visit and Phil and Donna helped us reach a very special goal and allowed us to have our own guests at tge propertt. We fully felt loved and saw Jesus in them. We consider them family now.

Idyllic cottage retreat

Quiet, beautiful place with all the amenities we needed for a week’s stay. Plenty of quality linens. Comfortable beds. Couldn’t be a nicer host. Will for sure stay again when we are in town!

Best time ever

The house was perfect just min from ULM. Close to every thing else. The property was lovely. The host was so helpful and accommodating. Will say there again if any where close in that area. Thank you so much for making our say great.

Awesome location and super neat!

The location is perfect for staying near ULM, and it is close enough to everything you want to do in Monroe. The grounds are spacious and immaculate! There is so much to do at the house that you really do not have to leave. The house is spacious and super clean! We will be back for when my daughter wants to visit her ULM friends!

Highly recommend this lodging

This cozy cottage, located near a beautiful bayou, was great for us. We enjoyed the large kitchen, laundry, and comfortable bedrooms. There was outdoor play space for our grandchildren along with a treehouse and swings. Mr/Mrs Nelson give tours of their beautifully maintained garden.Our stay ended with a peaceful, informative pontoon boat ride on the bayou.

Charming house, great location!

We had a lovely stay! The house is very clean, charmingly decorated, and a great location! Perfect for our family of 5. Wonderful hosts, and easy communication. A boat ride on the bayou was offered, and a walk through their beautiful garden. The beds are probably the most comfortable we’ve slept on in an air b&b or vrbo rental. Overall, we were beyond pleased with our stay, and will be back for subsequent visits! Thank you Phil and Donna!
