We loved the location. Proximity to the pool and the ocean was amazing as was the view from the balcony. Loved the attached restaurant and bar and the heated pool, the outside of this resort is wonderful! Would have loved to have some board games or puzzles in the condo for the evenings and a larger TV but overall this place was just what we wanted. We would definitely book again.

Perfect for a Spring Break Getaway

Great location and great room. Outdoor pool could have been a little more heated but it was tolerable for most of the stay. Easy access to the beach and all around easy process from check in to check out. Great location to everything on Tybee. The granddaughters really enjoyed their time with us and made some memories.

The unit was lovely and had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. Maintenance responded very quickly to our call when we discovered that the toilets kept running and resolved the issue within a couple of hours. The pools are very nice, and having The Deck right there for lunch was great!

We went down to the local IGA and got some groceries for some morning/lunch needs then enjoyed our dinners at the Deck and other local favorite places. We took walks along the beach both to the pier and to the lighthouse as well!

This 2 bedroom condo with new living room furniture (and sleeper sofa) is our new favorite. The condo has been maintained wonderfully. We love the palm trees and pool view. It has a great kitchen so we save money by eating in but love the dolphin tours and kayaking when we visit. The onsite office has a great staff and we love seeing the cute Golden Retriever when we visit. Each season is so wonderful we try to come 2 or 3 times a year.

we enjoyed the stay but the unit needs to have some TLCthe dishwasher was not attached to the cabinet and tipped forward every time you open or close the door or pull the racks outwhen we arrived the top rack was notconnected on the left side so the door would not close. i had to repair this to all the door of the dishwasher to close so we could use itthe tile at the base of the master shower has cracks in the grout and looks badin several places there are smudge marks on the walls that need to be touched upi also noticed that the doorhandle on the microwave was brokenwe very much enjoyed our stay but i wanted you to be aware of these itemsthis is not involving the unit we stayed in itself. but at two locations one just past the elevator we ised at different times water was leaking very badly around drain pipes in the ceiling. and on the bottom level we noticed the same thing. i am not sure if this was black or grey waterall in all we enjoyed our stay. it had easy access to the beach. the pools were nice and we had food one day for lunch from the on site restaurant and the food was good

Parking building was appreciated and kept our vehicle cool for when we ventured out. The heated pool was more like a hot tub than a pool but since we came for the beach we only used the pool once. The condo was clean and neat however for a condo that sleeps 6, there was very little storage for clothing and personal items. There was a closet and armoire in the master, but the secondary bedroom had a cabinet with no drawers only shelves and no closet. Luckily, I had packing cubes, so I was able to keep my clothing neat. There was nowhere to store the children's clothing, so it was left in the suitcase. Minimal storage in bathroom for toiletries having only under the sink. We made it work and had an excellent week. Everything was as described in listing including a coffee pot, washer and drier and dishwasher. Also they did NOT leave a 3-page list of cleaning that needed to be done prior to leaving which I did appreciate. The Deck Beachbar and Grill onsite was our favorite place to dine of the entire week and you have to make sure to try it if you visit. This was our first visit to Tybee Island and we spent a day in Savannah which is a must!

Tybee beach week

Location is good, pool and short walk to the beach. Room was clean and overlooked the pool area. The negative was the beds, they were not very comfortable at all. And the property states pet friendly and dog park, the "dog park" is just a wide grassy spot for dogs to relieve themselves it is not a dog park. No fencing except on the front and very small area, not a place for dog to play, very disappointing. And when I did let my dog pay on the grass in front of the pool, a "Karen" compained that I didn't have him in the dog park.

Quick trip to Tybee Island

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our daughter were invited to an event in downtown Savannah on Friday night May 3rd with professional pictures being taken early Saturday morning May 4th on the beach of Tybee Island. So we were looking for a place to stay that wouldn’t require more driving on Saturday morning after driving up from the Tampa Bay Area the previous day. Beachside Colony did not disappoint; it was clean, roomy enough for everyone to have their own space and it was nice and quiet for a good nights sleep after the festivities of Friday night in downtown Savannah. I do wish our stay could have been longer but we will definitely come back and stay for a longer amount of time in the future. My one “complaint” is that we were charged the full $150 cleaning fee and we literally just slept there and left the next morning, I did explain why were coming ahead of time and I kind of assumed that fee would have been reduced but it wasn’t, that would have been considerate seeing how we weren’t even in the unit other than to sleep one and change clothes. Nevertheless, the unit was indeed clean and pleasant and suited us great.

Wonderful Trip!

You can see little glimpses of the ocean and and all the birds in the garden area like to perch on the balcony when not in use. There is private access to the pool and beach which makes it very convenient because there is only paid public parking on the Island. We will be staying again with Beachside Colony properties.

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special. Guests love this location for its direct beach access, walkability, and central mid-island setting that makes getting anywhere on Tybee easy. In addition to managing condos here, I’m also an owner at Beachside Colony, which means I care for this property the same way I care for my own. The location offers the best of the island—easy beach access, a true resort atmosphere, and a place I’m proud to share with guests.
