Our beach resort stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental property was nice, but the problem was that I had to pay $125 cleaning fee only to be advised that we had to stripe the beds, put all the towels all in one place, take all the garbage out, put all the dishes in the dish washer. Why should there be a fee when I HAD TO DO HALF THE CLEANING, WHO GOES ON VACATION TO DO THAT?The restaurant was closed for two days.Too many demands, I will not recommend or stay here again .

A Wonderful Get-a-way!

With a family of four, it gave us plenty of room in a clean and beautiful space. Beachside Colony went above and beyond to help me and my family feel safe during the coronavirus outbreak and let us have a much needed break from the stress of our daily lives!

Property was nicely located. The space served our needs, but we have stayed at better appointed places which include a few staples and a better equipped kitchen. There were some light bulbs out and the blinds weren't all operational (or may have been operator error).

1st timer

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I didn’t like the fact that I have to pay 150$ for cleaning service yet I have to strip the beds and clean up. The glasses were all dirty dishes weren’t clean either. The TV was broadcasting in both English and Spanish which was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. Was very annoying. Multiple signs posted around the condo on how I will pay more if I do this or that was a bit over the top. People were very friendly and the deck had great food and drinks but an obnoxious woman at the bar was so loud she should have been cut off for sure. All in all it was a good stay. The washer and dryer worked good so that was a pleasant surprise.

Family get away

Four adults and two young children enjoyed the pools, the less crowded beach, and close proximity to Crab Shack, our favorite restaurant when we come Tybee. Also enjoyed AJs on the marsh side. MAJOR dISAPPOINTMENT

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at unit 111, the TV in the living room did not work, the door on the bottom of the stove was broken, the light over the sink in the master bathroom was out, there was only a half of roll of toilet paper fro both bathrooms, no tissues , soap, or paper towels. When I went to use the dryer I removed a small ziplock bag full of lint and the laundry area was dirty. There were 2 paintings on the floor that should have been hung on the walls, the light on the lamp in the living room did not work. the elevator not nice art

Beachside Colony Resort is great; however, Management is NOT

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have visited Tybee Island at least once/year for the past 20 years. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the island and have always been very pleased with any of the accommodations...hotels, condos, campground. And, we have stayed at Beachside Colony 2 other times before this trip - renting from another property manager. However, this time we decided to go with the onsite property managers and were VERY DISAPPOINTED. Check-in is 4:00 pm - our place was NOT ready until 5:30 pm. We received many excuses...there are only 2 housekeepers, we have a lot of check-outs, another couple stayed in 111 last night because they had trouble at the place they were staying. Not only did we receive excuses, there was only "I'm sorry" followed by the excuse. At no time did Jennifer (manager on duty) try to make things right. Actually, she left the office and said nothing. I am so glad this was not my first experience on Tybee because I would NEVER return after receiving such bad service. Even after we were FINALLY settled, no one checked in to make sure everything was okay. Unfortunately, it wasn't...the housekeeping staff forgot to leave paper products, dishwasher soap. I'm sure they were rushed...wonder how many other places didn't get cleaned in the 6 hours between check-out and check-in? Not that this is a big deal, IGA is just down the street, but it was part of the deal. This negative experience could have been avoided if MANAGEMENT would have accepted responsibility for the oversights and not blamed others.
