The Space
Pelican Pete's Boathouse is an airy, waterfront vacation getaway in the quiet and secluded neighborhood of Laguna Vista - an excellent (and less well known) option for fans of South Padre Island. At Pelican Pete's Boathouse, you are close enough to the beach and activities to be convenient, but far away enough to get a way from the crowds and feel like you're not a tourist. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the water, pelicans, and singing palms every day just outside your backdoor.
Guest access
As a guest at Pelican Pete's Boathouse, you have the exclusive use of the townhome, garage, and outdoor living areas Longer term guests can arrange use of the shallow water boat slip.
The Harbors has a private boat ramp. Follow the marked channel out to the Laguna Madre Bay for a fishing trip or a short boat ride to dinner on South Padre Island. Two marinas are available in neighboring Port Isabel. Guests at Pelican Pete's Boathouse also have access to bicycles and kayaks, as well as golf, fishing, and beach gear.
Wristbands for each member of your party, included in your Welcome Packet, gives you access to free amenities in the South Padre Island Golf Club - two pools and a well equipped gym.
There is also a restaurant and the South Padre Island Golf Club, an 18-hole course considered to be one of the finest in the Rio Grande Valley.
Other things to note...
South Padre Island is, without a doubt, the primary attraction in the area. However, the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge is minutes away from our location, as well. The refuge is equally attractive to hikers, bicyclists, nature lovers, and birders.
