Please Note Our House Rules
We do not allow parties or events of any kind, and outdoor music must always be kept very low — quieter than a normal conversation — so it cannot be heard by neighbors. Our home is in a quiet residential area, and we take being respectful to our neighbors seriously.
That said, we love welcoming group getaways focused on relaxation and connection — whether it’s a company retreat, a yoga or wellness group, or a hobby club gathering. If your plans align with our calm, family-style setting, we’d be happy to host you.
The maximum occupancy is 16 guests, including children and any daytime visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
Street parking is not permitted. Our private driveway fits up to 9 vehicles maximum.
All guests will be asked to sign a simple rental agreement outlining these rules. We’re happy to share it with you in advance if needed — it just confirms what’s listed here and on our Airbnb page.

You’ll have full access to the house and all the spaces shown in the listing photos. The only exceptions are the garage, technical room, and the cleaners’ supply closet — those are locked and not accessible to guests.
Friday Harbour Resort Amenities Accessible to Visitors:
Friday Harbour Resort is a lively destination just a 10-minute drive away, and we highly recommend visiting during your stay. It offers a great variety of amenities and activities, especially on weekends.
Recreation Rentals:
Guests have access to a variety of recreational rentals, including bikes, canoes and kayaks. For water enthusiasts, jet skis and boats are also available for rent.
Courts:
Guests can freely use the basketball and volleyball courts. Friday Harbour offers a state-of-the-art beachside basketball court equipped with top-notch adjustable glass backboards that meet NBA standards, catering to players of all skill levels. The volleyball court is conveniently located on the beach.
Boardwalk and Dining:
Guests can explore the boardwalk and enjoy the variety of restaurants and coffee shops, including Avenue, Fishbone, and Starbucks.
Pool Access (for a fee):
Guests have the option to access the Beach Club pool, restaurant, and splash pad for a fee of $30 per person. Passes can be purchased and used on the same day at the Welcome Centre on the boardwalk. These passes grant a two-hour time slot to enjoy the Beach Club and its amenities.
Free Beach Access:
Beach access is free for all guests. However, the area with beach chairs and umbrellas is reserved for those holding a FH Residential card only.
Watercraft and Bike Rentals:
Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and bikes can be rented from the building located by the basketball court.
Nature Trails:
Guests can explore kilometers of scenic trails, offering beautiful routes through forests and wetlands. The trails are perfect for hiking or biking.
Weekly Events:
- DJ at CIBC Pier every Friday.
- Live music at CIBC Pier every Saturday.

Winter Activities at Friday Harbour:
- Skating on the Boardwalk.
- Luma Light Trail through the forest.
- 7 km of nature trails for exploring.
- Snowshoeing, fat tire biking, and cross-country skiing, with equipment available for rent on site.
The Nest Golf Club:
The Nest Golf Club is open for public play every day, offering great golf experience where nature’s splendor meets man-made challenge. Designed by award-winning golf course architect Doug Carrick, the course features 18 holes of tranquil beauty. The Nest features 9 holes out and the back 9 returning, allowing you to enjoy the traditional “after work” Friday game, with enough time for many more pleasures to round out your evening at Friday Harbour Resort.
Parking:
Parking is free along the street at Friday Harbour Resort, and there are also two big parking lots available for all guests.
Pool Availability
Our heated pool is open seasonally, from May through the end of September. Outside of those months, it is closed and winterized.
Lake Access
We highly recommend bringing water shoes if you plan to enjoy the lake. Some areas of the lake bottom can be rocky and slippery, and water shoes will help keep you comfortable and safe.
BBQ, Fire Pit & Fireplace
Our barbecue and fire pit are both connected directly to a propane line — no tanks or refills needed. If you plan to use the indoor wood-burning fireplace, please bring your own firewood, as it is not provided.
Drinking Water & Ice
The kitchen includes filtered drinking water and a built-in ice maker, so there’s no need to bring bottled water or bags of ice.
Noise & Music
Our home is in a quiet residential area, and we take noise rules very seriously. Outdoor music must always be kept very low — quieter than a normal conversation — and must not be heard by neighbors at any time of day. Absolutely no music or noise is permitted outside after 11 PM. This is a firm requirement, and failure to follow it may result in early termination of your stay.
Occupancy Limit
The maximum occupancy is 16 guests total, including both overnight guests and daytime visitors. This limit must not be exceeded under any circumstances. If you are planning to have additional guests or day visitors, you must get prior approval from us.
Guest Behavior
We ask all guests to treat the home, the neighborhood, and our community with respect. No parties of any kind are allowed. Loud or disruptive behavior, trespassing on neighboring properties, or any illegal activity will not be tolerated.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the house. You may smoke outside, but please dispose of cigarette butts properly and do not litter. A violation of this policy will result in a $1,000 fine.
Pool
Our heated pool is available from May through the end of September. For everyone’s safety, glass is strictly prohibited in the pool area. We provide plastic drinkware and dishes for outdoor use — please use them while enjoying the pool and patio.
Garbage & Recycling
Please bag and sort your garbage and recycling and place them inside the appropriate bins provided. Do not leave garbage bags outside, as they may attract wildlife.
