The perfect low-key get-away

The property is well-maintained and clean. The beach is also well-maintained! The property has a small neighborhood feel. It is family friendly. Management was very responsive. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Great beach condo, close to beach and beautiful view from private deck. Very convenient!

Great property with awesome view, definitely needs an upgrade to a queen or king bed in main bedroom! Otherwise, it was very nice.

Cape coddages II stay

We were very disappointed in finding dead roaches, and we saw big live ones on Tuesday! This condo needed a thorough cleaning as well. ITrip offered to move us to another condo, and we accepted which was very nice. The move saved our vacation, and I trip was extremely helpful.

Great location

We enjoyed Surfside. This condo is in a great location. Really close to the beach and not crowded beach. The condo is old and dirty. We had issues with roaches. The storage closet was absolutely nasty. The ceiling had fallen through and stagnant water in the buckets. A pool is nice to cool off in but it was very small.

We loved the condo and it's location.

After staying the N Myrtle and Myrtle for the last 10+ years we loved Surfside as it was less busy and very laid back. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We loved the condo at Cape Coddages, unit 102, it was literally steps from the ocean. The balcony was so close you felt like you were still sitting on the beach. The location was convenient to get to Murrell's Inlet or MB within minutes. Rental was so easy, we arrived after the iTrip office was closed but were able to easily get our keys and info from the after hours box. Check out was easy too, as we just dropped our keys off in the key drop and left. The office was super close to the condo, which made it easy to check in and out. Would definitely recommend both iTrip and Cape Coddages.

Bugs

I woke up at 3am to palmetto bugs. I contacted the management who sent a guy with a jug of bug spray. He sprayed, they kept coming out, kitchen and bathroom. I was told nobody else had issues but I find that hard to believe due to the amount of bugs!! It was gross and made our stay very uncomfortable.

Very upset and disappointed

Huge, medium, small cockroaches, mold in showers, only thing really clean upon arrival was floors and beds made. Dirty in cabinets, under furniture, in corners! Kitchen utensils, coffee maker, cookware all dirty! Not enough towels etc for family of 5! Balcony furniture cheap and unsturdy! Windows dirty could not see clearly out some! To top it all off the ac went out our last day! ceapand unstudry

Stay away if you’re looking for a clean place to stay

Our family arrived to a dirty condo that had barely been “cleaned”. The surfaces were poorly wiped, crumbs all over the floor, did not appear to be vacuumed or mopped. We have a crawling one year old and do not feel comfortable letting her on the filthy floor…Second night we saw two cockroaches within thirty minutes and knew that we couldn’t stay there. We spent the night packing and trying to find somewhere else to stay. It was extremely uncomfortable and not maintained. The only plus about this place is the view, but i would not recommend if you are looking for somewhere clean to stay with your family.

Overall this was a very nice condo. Everything was updated. We had a small problem during the first day but it was completely taken care of right away without question.

We had a wonderful vacation at this condo! The oceanfront location couldn't have been better. It was comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Week

The condo was very clean & the view of the ocean was beautiful. The water pressure in the shower was amazing!! The only thing that would have been better is if there was a bedroom on the ocean side of the unit. Otherwise, couldn’t have asked for better.

View of the Ocean is fabulous!

We loved the view from the living room and balcony overlooking the ocean. The location on the beach was fantastic. It was also a very short distance to golf/restaurants/shopping. We had a great time at Surfside Beach!

Just As Advertised

If you like the pictures then you will not be disappointed when you arrive. This condo is exactly as pictured. We had a great time being right on the beach. We were able to see dolphins swimming past one morning. I would definitely rent this unit again.

Cape Coddages II 102

This was one of the worst experiences we've had renting/ staying at the beach! It began with the pictures on the internet for this listing which are very deceiving! The photos made this condo unit seem very large, especially the kitchen, which is not the case at all! When closing the refrigerator door, you have to make sure the freezer door remains closed because it pops open & vice versa. We paid the additional fee to have the 2 twin beds coverted to a king bed. This wasn't done when we arrived and had to wait an additional 6 hours before this was taken care of (well after dinner time!) The beds are beyond HORRIBLE!! It was like sleeping on concrete slabs the entire time. I don't have back issues, but I do now!! My back has never been so sore! PSA: South Carolina public pools were open the week of our stay 6/6-6/13!! The pool for our unit (advertised as part of the rental package) was NOT open with only a sign saying pool is closed. I was in contact with the rental office for 2 days about this issue and inquired about a portional reimbursement due to the fact this is false advertising and we rented the unit because of the pool option! We NEVER heard anything back from the rental company or the HOA (which we were told was in control of the pool). On day 3 a new sign was posted on the pool gate referring to its closure because of social distancing/ COVID-19. No contact from anyone, just a posted sign. Our issue with the whole pool situation is that there was no mention of pool closure at all on the website, from the rental company or the owners, but they sure as HELL took our money for it!! On Day 4 (Wednesday) we returned from the ocean to find the temperature inside our unit to be 78° and rising! It was after hours and we tried 3 different emergency phone numbers including texting & emailing with no response from anyone until the next day when we called again at 10am. Repairmen showed up the next morning (Thursday) but couldn't fix the unit. The AC unit wasn't fixed until early afternoon on day 5 (Friday) so we endured 3 days with no air conditioning! There were also cockroaches in the unit!!!! Yes, you're reading that right.....cockroaches!!!! They sure as HELL didn't come with us!!! Overall, EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with our very first VRBO rental experience!

Beautiful Condo!

This condo has plenty of space and is beautifully decorated. The ONLY concern we had was the beds. We had to purchase a mattress topper to help with comfortable sleep. All 3 beds are sadly very uncomfortable. Other than that, we loved our stay here.

Bike week 2019

Clean but not perfect. Cereal under the bed in the first bed room. This is our second year staying in this unit. Ground crew very nice when cleaning around parking lot. Told me they would be careful around motorcycle. Check in was quick. They call telling the unit was available early.

As advertised - family friendly, affordable beachfront condo

We booked Cape Cottages 2 in Surfside, but due to beach restoration, we were lucky enough to get moved to another property in Garden City, the Royal Garden Resort. Overall property was good - right on the beach, large indoor and outdoor pool, ocean front. Had issues with the router/WiFi and the dishwasher that took a couple days and several calls to resolve (WiFi was never resolved, we just used another room’s), but other than that property was as expected and our experience was good
