Great location. Comfortable living space. Updated bathrooms. Easy parking (be sure to read the street parking sign so you don’t get dinged for parking during street sweeping). Comfortable bed. TVs worked well. Needs a deep cleaning. Upstairs neighbor could be loud late at night with windows open. No rental is perfect. Overall a good experience.

House was fine. Only drawback was we hit a heatwave and house was warm at night with no air. Otherwise we would return again.

Loved this property and Kathy was so sweet and quick to respond to messages! Location can’t be beat. It’s super spacious!!! Would totally stay here again.The only reason I didn’t give a perfect score was we a slight issue with the second toilet. However, whenever we texted Kathy about the problem, she was quick to respond and they did their best to get it fixed ASAP.

Balboa Island Getaway

This was a very functional place for us to stay. It was actually bigger than I was expecting so for my family of 4 we had plenty of room. Easily could have brought 2 friends for the kids. The location is perfect. It’s almost dead center of the island making it easy to get to the famous chocolate covered bananas or the ferry to head to the Fun Zone/ Beach. Really enjoyed sitting in the front porch later in the day. Overall a fantastic experience and check in was a breeze with great communication. Thanks.

Amazing location & classic beach house

The location can’t be beat! A short walk to dining & shops. An even shorter walk to the bay beaches and ferry. We enjoyed this classic beach house and its comfortable layout for our family of 5. No dedicated parking spot but we had no problem finding parking on the street right by the house! Wish we could have extended our stay. Will be back!

The cottage is very well equipped and so cute inside. It is very well situated a few metres from Bay Front and an amazing view towards the Harborside Inn and very near the small ferry.

The house is very nice, clean, well equipped, comfortable beds, everything went very smoothly. There is only street parking but we never had any trouble finding a spot right outside. The island is very quiet and peaceful, we loved sitting out in the front.I recommend Todos Santos just a couple of minutes walk away for your morning coffee!

Balboa Island House

Had a wonderful weekend on balboa. Kathy is a wonderful host, great communication. The house is clean and comfortable. The little extras were perfect, beach towels, nice throws and games. Location is quiet and near the Ferry. We enjoyed walking the island for exercise. Shopping and restaurants a short walk away. Close to many wonderful beaches and trails. Great getaway!

We really enjoyed the location. Close to the water, ferry to the peninsula and Marine street businesses. Kathy is a very attentive host who responds to text messages quickly.

Balboa never disappoints

We've been traveling to Balboa / Newport for a few decades and this cute place was a great representative of the area w/ the location, cleanliness, amenities, etc. We had two adult couples and it worked perfectly. Stay here if you get a chance!

Great location

Clean and well located. Very responsive owner. Although no parking is available, it forced us to walk more and stay on the island longer. We got lucky with parking close to the house even during the holidays.

A place to remember!

Grew up in Newport and returned for a memorial service for my mom. She loved to walk around Balboa and this place was the perfect stay for me and my two adult children. The host was communucative and easy to reach.
