The property is somewhat remote and therefore quiet. The house was comfortable; the carriage house was quite musty until we aired it out. We explored the nearby "beach," which is walkable but not a swimming beach. The best beach was Thunder Cove, which was great for swimming, not nearly as crowded as Cavendish and had marvelous red cliffs, coves and monoliths to explore. We spent one morning just playing in the yard -- frisbee, croquet (though there were only 2 wickets; we fashioned more out of twigs) and corn hole. The firepit and hammocks were a hit, though the mosquitoes chased us away at dusk. And the sunsets were splendid.
