This is our second stay with Mike and Taina. The house is a perfect location for cross country skiing at Lappe and has one of the best stocked kitchens I have rented! They also leave delicious nordic pancake batter and strawberries. Our kids loved having breakfast here

Fantastic home! Our family visited to ski at Loch Lomond and this home was amazing. The host left fresh goodies for our arrival, and everything was just perfect. The weather was particularly cold all week, but the house was warm and snug.

The home provided easy access to sights we wanted to visit as well as groceries. The kitchen, washrooms, and laundry room were all fully stocked with many extras (i.e. spices, condiments, toiletries, etc.), plenty of dishes, and cookware. We enjoyed a restful 3 night stay on a 14-day road trip. The beds were very comfortable. I would rebook this location if I ever find myself in Thunder Bay again.

The stay could not have been any better. Everything was spotless and well ordered. The kitchen was better stocked than out own. Dawson's Diner was amazing. The house was easy to find and close to the area. We will totally come back.

We had a great stay at this wonderful home! We spent the days exploring the Thunder Bay Area. It was great to come back to such a clean, well stocked home. The owner really made sure that we had absolutely everything we needed.The Finn pancakes were a great surprise - Delicious!

Great Thunder Bay retreat

This place was amazing….. very quiet and had everything you needed…we were doing the Lake Superior Circle tour so this was a great place to stay for a couple nights to explore everything near Thunder Bay.

We were extremely impressed with everything during our stay! The rental was very well equipped and lovely There was everything you could want or need. The laundry room was well equipped even though we brought our own goods. Then there was the Finn pancakes with strawberries, whipping cream and syrup! We had our two boys with their kids over and had so much fun in the fenced in yard. We will definately stay here again!

Lovely Oasis

We were passing through the Thunder Bay area on our way north fishing. The house had everything we could ask for and was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of driving. We’d definitely stay here again.

Amazing!

Our stay was wonderful! Everything you could need while you stay is provided. Fenced in yard was great for our dog. Easy checkin and checkout. Lots of room and beds for our family of 5. Owners are easy to communicate with and friendly.

Perfect winter getaway

This place in awesome! Exceeded our expectations. The owners thought of everything and then more. Just right in terms of location (access to rural trails and city), attention to detail (thoughtfully organized, stocked, good appliances, linens, etc) and the little things i.e. the finn pancakes batter :) Great value for the experience!

Above and beyond

Extremely well done. Very well equipped with pretty much anything you might need. Kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are all very well equipped. Very deluxe compared to most short term rentals.Condiments, snacks, and even a local pancake batter made up ready to cook alone with fruit and whip cream. Nice bedding and towels. Spare toothbrushes…Location is a bit outside of the city. Depending on what your plans are this could be a bit of a downside. Plan to drive everywhere if spending time in the area. The general store next door has good pizza and a short drive to Dawson Diner has good quality meals too.

Country in the city-big yard-fenced back yard-creek in front yard with speckled trout that can often be seen from the banks. Easy access along HWY 102 a major east west route. Nearby store for almost anything guests may need. Including take out hot food-take away and heat premade meals-groceries......
