While our initial reaction was surprise as this is a large bedroom in what looks to be a remodeled rooming house in the downtown core, we soon were won over by the clean bright room. There is a keurig, a small microwave and fridge so you will most likely have to go out to eat. The location is fantastic. There is a casino a few steps away and the have good , reasonably priced food that you can order long after everything else is closed. They have a 5.00 breakfast that is amazing, served every day. There are specials every night including a full steak dinner for under twenty bucks on Saturday. The room was clean and comfortable and the other tenants were very quiet. Any street noises weren’t enough to bother us. Parking was initially a challenge as street parking is strictly regulated, but the parkade a couple of blocks away provided ample and cheap parking (5.00/stay). We were close to the airport, hospital and the university. Unfortunately, it was cold and snowy so we couldn’t take advantage of the room’s proximity to the waterfront and shops. If you are in town for an event, this is a great place to stay and we would stay again in the future.
