Charming two bedroom cabin tucked away in the woods! Features first floor living with open floor plan. Scenic view of forest and small creek from the back deck. Beautiful wooden swing on the front porch for relaxing. Entire cabin recently renovated and refinished!

Cabin is located approximately 15 minutes to Penn State University in State College, PA; 30 minutes to beautiful Lake Raystown in Huntingdon, PA; only five minutes to Rothrock State Forest and PA State Game Lands. Amish communities in Big Valley, Mifflin County, are a short 15 minute drive away.

Bring your kayaks and paddle across the calm waters of Whipple Dam or Greenwood Furnace State Parks, or take leisurely bike rides on nearby trails. Hiking trails abound in the local area, with vast overlooks and abundant wildlife. Wintertime offers nearby access to snowmobile trails and Tussey Mountain Ski Resort.

Take in a PSU football game, visit Pegula Ice Arena, or visit the Penn State campus for Berkey Creamery ice cream! The cabin is situated in the perfect location for visiting Penn State as a parent, alumni, or fan! Visit Amish Country in beautiful Big Valley and enjoy local baked goods, quaint country stores, and handmade Amish wares.

Cabin features two bedrooms on the air conditioned second floor along with new, full bath with beautifully tiled shower. First bedroom features one double bed; second bedroom features one double bed and one set of twin bunks. Ceiling fans in both rooms. Room for additional air mattresses in each room (available upon request). Linens provided, personal toiletries not supplied.

Air conditioned first floor features living room with reclining sofa and two swivel barrel chairs, along with large coffee table and console. Kitchen includes full sized French door refrigerator with bottom freezer, electric convection oven, coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave. Basic cooking tools available including pots and pans, dishware, flatware, and drinking glasses. Small central island offers seating for two with room for food prep. Full sized dining table seats up to six. Wifi available for personal use.

Hosts close at hand for assistance when needed.

Edna and Bob were AMAZING hosts! We had no power Friday into Saturday, but thankfully Edna and Bob brought down water and flashlights and offered their own home down the road for a hot meal and to warm up! We will definitely be staying again!!

We came up for the PSU hockey game and had a great stay! We arrived to freshly baked cookies that Edna had made for us that were amazing! The cabin was cozy and very nice. Would recommend. Thank you for hosting us.

Fantastic place to stay. Went for a PSU game. Close enough to drive back and forth from State College, but in a wonderfully secluded area that is perfect for some relaxing time away. Highly recommended.

Great Mountain Getaway

We had a great time. The cabin has a lot of charm and perfect for a family or 2-couples. Super clean and updated and easy to get to campus for game time. Can't go wrong if you are looking to get away from congestion.

We stayed here for our son’s Penn State graduation, and it ended up being the perfect choice. The cabin is about 20 minutes from campus, which gave us just the right balance—close enough for everything we needed, but peaceful and tucked away in the woods.The cabin itself was incredibly well stocked. Anything we thought to bring was already there, which made the whole stay effortless. It really felt like everything had been anticipated.The host was wonderful—responsive, welcoming, and thoughtful. They even left homemade brownies for us, which was such a kind and memorable touch. They also checked in when we arrived to make sure everything was going smoothly, which we really appreciated.One of our favorite moments was coming back one night and looking up at the sky—we’ve never seen so many stars. It just added to how peaceful and special the whole stay felt.It was the perfect place to unwind and spend time together during such a meaningful weekend. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Penn State Parents Weekend

With the insane prices hotels were charging in State College this lovely cabin was the perfect options for those willing to travel a few more minutes and save a ton of cash. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, plenty of living room seating available and freshly baked cookies, couldn’t ask for anything more. Will definitely plan on staying again.

Sweetest host anyone could ask for

This little cabin was perfect, not to far from Penn State. If you give her a head up on what time you'll be there she will have a coffee cake waiting for you. Can't wait to go back.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cabin. It has everything you need, towels, bedding and kitchen utensils. They provide a coffee/tea station which is wonderful! (I forgot about coffee) It was very clean and accommodating. We would stay again if in the area.

Fantastic Cabin in the Woods

Couldn't have asked for a better stay. The cabin was terrific. The craftsmanship and decor were perfect. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location was a nice change from a crowded State College (Graduation Weekend). My wife loved the front porch swing. As great as the place was, working with Edna was even better. A terrific host who made herself available for any needs we had. Even checked in on us the first day. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks Edna for a terrific weekend.

Cabin

Going for a weekend of wrestling already knowing you’ll be a little stressed Edna and her husband made this process 100% easier. Available to answer any questions, give you information etc.The location of the property was amazing, the cabin it’s self was amazing. And it was just nice to go to a quiet place after a long exhausting couple of days for wrestling. I will definitely book this property whenever I attend anything in the area.

Bob & Edna Miller are a retired couple ready to welcome visitors to their cozy cabin! Originally located at a local girl scout camp, this cabin was cut in thirds and transported to its current location in the early 1960s. The cabin was then used as a hunting cabin for a family from Lancaster, PA. When the cabin was listed for sale by the family, the Miller's decided to purchase the property and renovate the cabin to use as a rental.
