I rented this cabin for a relaxing, kid-free, girls weekend and it did not disappoint. We each had our own space to feel at home in. After a long day of travel, the hot tub was was the perfect ending to our day as the snow began to fall. As it snowed most of of our stay, the fire pit and hot tub were wonderful amenities that allowed us to still enjoy outside time. They had a fully stocked kitchen which made it easy to prepare meals when we decided on staying in. The host checked-in to ensure our needs were met and the check-out instructions were clear and easy to do. This is a great family-friendly cabin that is suitable for all types of getaways. I will be returning with my family to enjoy the next time we are able to come to The Black Hills.

I booked this cabin for a fun Spring break getaway for the family. We had a blast! Pulling up we were so excited. We were greeted with fresh soft cookies on the counter, a fun downstairs area with games to entertain the kids, very comfortable beds, a nice fully stocked kitchen and a nice big hot tub to fit the whole fam!!! We really enjoyed our trip! The views around the area are breathtaking! We saw so much wildlife from mountain goats to elk and more. It was a great location. I would book again. The communication amd detail from the owners was welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Thank you for letting your piece of home feel like a piece of ours.

An amazing property. Hot tub was magnificent! Perfect location to explore the Black Hills and even Custer State Park. Hosts were very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Great location!

This was a great fit for our family!! Loved how close it was to Terry Peak. The beds were very comfy, everyone slept good. Hottub was a plus, great for somewhere to hang out in the evenings.

This place was absolutely amazing! We had a group of 4 adults and 8 kids. There was plenty to do to keep everyone entertained. The kids loved the arcade games and air hockey table. We had a great time there and Jim was wonderful if we had any questions.

Beautiful Peaceful Cabin

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was very peaceful and very clean! Jim and Julie were very accomodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The welcome cookies were such a lovely touch and so good! The kids and adults loved the games in the basement and we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings! Definately would recommend to anyone looking at staying in the area!

As a veteran and cattle rancher, I bring a strong sense of commitment and a deep appreciation for nature. Julie, with her innate sense of warmth and hospitality, adds an extra touch of coziness to our haven. We met in college, fell head over heels in love, and built a wonderful life together. Our two sons are growing up way too fast, which makes us cherish every moment and every opportunity to share our love for this incredible area. So come on over and let us, Jim and Julie, be your hosts at Buffalo Trail Cabin. We're here to ensure your stay is filled with the perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and heartfelt hospitality.

We've decorated the cabin to be cozy and inviting. We love our trips to The Black Hills and hope that you will love the area as much as we do. Our goal is that our guests will thoroughly enjoy the experience and come back to visit often.

We also provide a detailed Online Guidebook prior to your stay with all the details you'll need to know on the home as well as a local area resource guide on things to do. We hope that whether you're coming up for a romantic getaway, a girls' trip or a fun vacation with your family, we strive to make your experience as fun and memorable as possible!
