Wonderful West Michigan Visit

Great stay with lots of full rooms to accommodate family. Lovely family room and comfortable. One bathroom had nice space.

Great property

This was our first time in the area and wanted a little off the beaten path and not in the hustle and it was a great property! I would recommend it and I would stay again.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

This was our first vrbo and we'll definitely be back! Tons of beaches and trails nearby. Great shopping and gorgeous views less than 10 min away! The house itself was huge, comfty and clean. Plenty of space and everything you need to enjoy a geataway!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Willow House. It is a great location. Although the home is older, the owners keep the place very clean and have updated with some nice furniture. We loved the Dune buggy ride in Saugatuck, the windmill tour in Holland and the beaches! Oval beach in Saugatuck, Silver Beach in St Joseph and a nice public beach only a few minutes from the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Willow house. It’s an older lake home that gave us that classic, cozy lake house feel—very reminiscent of the ones I grew up visiting in my home state. Hagar Beach was just a quick 4-minute drive away, and having a Dollar Store up the road was super convenient for any last-minute needs.St. Joseph was only 10 minutes away and offered great beaches, shopping, and restaurants. The Roku TV was a nice touch for relaxing with the kids in the evenings. All of the furniture in the home was top quality and very comfortable.One thing to note: the water is hard and has a slight odor due to the high iron content—pretty typical for this area, so it didn’t bother us.Overall, a great stay in a peaceful, well-located home!

Wonderful

Had a great time visiting wineries and downtown St Joseph. House was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the secluded back yard, unfortunately too hot for a fire. Very relaxing and fun. Close enough to activities/restaurants and yet far enough to enjoy country-like setting. Would definitely return in the future

Cozy and peaceful. Very convenient access to triathlon site. Back yard is lovely.

Went well. Owner very helpful when I had difficulty with the lock. Turns out I had the code wrong and he got me into the house when it was late and I was exhausted.

Willow house

The willow house was clean up to satisfactory conditions really enjoyed my stay I look forward to staying there again if I should be up this way. The hummingbird feeders in the backyard I can watch them all day they were great

Wonderful House!!

We loved staying at the Willow House! It was the perfect location, close to everything. We were able to take day trips to St Joseph, South Haven, and Warren State Dunes from the house and the drive was short. We loved haggard beach that was within 5 minutes of the house. The house has a country setting feel, so you are away from all the hustle and bustle. We loved the fire pit, the grill, the humming birds, and all the trees! You truly feel right at home. If you forget to pack something, I guarantee the house will have it! They truly think of everything. It was very clean and the perfect size for 3 adults and 2 children! Thank you Jerry (the host), we are counting down the days until we return!!

Great stay at the Willow House

We had a great stay at the Willow House. I really enjoyed the mornings on the back deck and watching the hummingbirds. Had a great time at Hagar Beach, just a 5 minute drive. Jerry was a great host, very quick to answer any questions we had.

More Like "Humming Bird House"

We enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed watching the humming birds. Very clean and well stocked with extra towels and linens. Hagar beach, less than a five-minute drive was a real jewel, almost felt like our own private beach. Close to St. Joe, Silver Beach and other Michigan beaches and towns. Quiet surprised the local grocery store in Coloma had so much to offer. The only drawbacks were the iron content of the water and no cable television. Would stay here again the next time I visited the area.

Long weekend

The property was very clean and Jerry was very easy to contact with any questions. The location is within good proximity to St Joseph/Silver Beach and other brewery/ winery areas. We had two hound babies so the backyard wasn’t really something we could use with mosquitoes/bugs in the evening but it was a nice set up. As listed the iron in high in the water but not something that would keep me from staying here again. Would recommend bringing your own movies if you wanted to relax before bed.

Hosts were very accomodating. The home needs some updating. Must drive to get to any location.

The property was a 10 min drive to St Joe's and a 15 min drive to South Haven. The beach was 3 minutes down the road. But you had to DRIVE to get anywhere. Need to bring your own soap, laundry detergent and extra paper products (toilet paper and paper towels). Beds could use new pillows. The home is on a well. Well water has a distinctive odor. Plus, well water can leave stains on clothes. Good idea to bring bottled water. Inside of home is a bit musty. Hosts were very easy to work with and responsive to our emails. Nice to have an attached garage.

Clean and spacious house, close to beach, great for kids

We had a lovely time at Willow house. The house was very clean and had plenty of space for my husband and me, plus our 2 young children. The beach was about 5 minutes away, 10 minutes if we wanted to go to Silver Beach. The big backyard was pretty and fun to run around in. If you stay here, I do recommend bringing or buying drinking water as the house has very hard water. This was easily done and didn't affect our satisfaction with the house. I highly recommend this house, we are already looking at times to come back next year!

Exactly as advertised

We very much enjoyed our stay at Willow House. The house was exactly as advertised - no unpleasant surprises. If you like what you read, you will be very happy with Willow House. Very convenient to St Joe and Benton Harbor - just 5 miles down M63. The driveway kind of sneaks up on you the first time you come - look for the green reflective address sign. Enjoy!

Love this property!

This has been our home-away-from-home on our summer beach vacations for 4 years! We love the spacious living room for relaxing, the fire pit and amazing backyard for bonfires and s’mores, and all the great wildlife (deer, rabbits, birds, hummingbirds). The picture of the front of the house doesn’t do this place justice. Inside the house was spacious and gorgeous. The outdoor grounds were amazing. We had bonfires every night. There is a huge amount of room for outdoor activities. There were mosquitoes but they died off at night. We read other reviews and brought bug spray and candles. We also brought water but the tap water was fine for dishes and showering. Close to awesome beaches and towns. Very private and peaceful.

Willow House sits on 25 fully wooded acres that my father and grandfather farmed, with strawberries, apples, and blackberries in the 50's, 60's and 70's. As children we worked in the fields during the day & swam in Lake Michigan on warm summer evenings. Over the past 25 years mother nature has reclaimed the berry fields with wooded forests, yet you can still find wild berries throughout the trails. We have totally renovated Willow House and hope our home is your home to enjoy in what's called by the airlines, "Little Europe".

Its so close to everything Southwest Michigan has to offer. It truly is a gem with 25 wooded private acres and a private walking trail for the woodsy enthusiasts. We recommend appropriate dress and plenty of bug spray.

It's private, so no nearby neighbors on top of you and it's so easy to just jump in the car and make a short trip to your favorite restaurant or beach. No sharing a driveway or parking and if you just need to relax with a good book on a lazy day with the humming birds. It's perfect.
