Seclusion, breathtaking views, beautiful beaches, wildlife galore and friendly people. What’s not to like at Casa Verde? My wife and I spent 10 days at this wonderful and spacious home and enjoyed every minute of it.
An all wheel drive vehicle is, of course, highly recommended (almost a necessity, in fact), but the roads from Liberia to Jicaral are all paved. From Jicaral to San Francisco de Coyote the road is the typical rough, dirt/rock one found in Costa Rica, but still, not too bad. Carla was kind enough to give us the satellite coordinates to Casa Verde (and they worked perfectly), but her directions from Liberia were so good the GPS really wasn't necessary.
The house (and the grounds surrounding it) was better than we expected. It is open and airy (which is a big plus, since there is no air conditioning) and the kitchen is well equipped. Also, the enormous tile shower was a great way to cool off from the heat.
And then there’s the view from the veranda. Well, words simply can’t do it justice. You have to experience it for yourself.
The property manager, Minor, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly (although it’s a plus if you can speak some Spanish). Great guy.
We highly recommend Casa Verde. Thank you Carla for allowing us to visit your home!
