SGI boasts beautiful dog-friendly beaches, and Backroad Blue is delighted to be a pet-friendly home featuring a fenced in yard space with a large doggy door. We encourage you to bring the whole family to enjoy our piece of paradise!

Perfect vacation home

My family of 8 had a wonderful experience. The layout of the home is perfect for larger families/groups. We enjoyed the outdoor areas including a screen porch, deck and fenced back yard for pets. Clean and comfortable.

BRB Perfect Vaca Spot!

This house checked all the needs for a beach vacation! We travel with 4 kids and a Great Dane! This home had plenty of space for all of us, and a fenced in backyard!

It was a very beautiful house. It’s close to the beach and shops. It had a lot of convenient stuff for my baby such as a play pen, bath tub, and high chair.

Great place off the beaten path

Big and very clean house with a fenced yard that would be great for dogs. Very thorough communication by the property management as well.

We had a wonderful stay!

The house was clean, well stocked, & very comfortable for our group. The beach is just a couple blocks away from the house. The host was very easy to communicate with, although we didn’t have any issues. It was a perfect place for a quiet getaway!

This was one of the best house I have stayed at. Very clean and well stocked. And has good clean dishes. Spaces rooms. Loved the screened in porch. Great place to walk your dog. And a plus it has a huge doggy door and fenced in yard. It’s close to all the shop. My son and I walked to get ice cream. I’m 63 and made the 2 mile around trip. Over all very cozy home.

Great Location

We love this house so much that we have stayed here twice now and will stay here again. I love the large parking area that makes it easy to bring my boat and our dogs love the fenced in yard. Spacious, clean, and close to the beach and bay, this is a great house and host.

Anniversary trip

This house is better than pictures. We loved it. It was so quiet but really close to everything. We loved the fenced yard for our dog Sam. Tara was fantastic in keeping up with us and answering any questions. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely perfect

This is the perfect rental for families staying with their dogs! We had our two grown children and their children and pups meet us for a long overdue family vacation!! It was perfect, each family had their own bedroom and bathroom plus the kids room and fenced back yard was a huge bonus!! The house is nicely stocked with cookware and pretty much anything you would need!

Sunsets Aplenty at Backroad Blue

Our stay at Backroad Blue was nothing short of amazing. The house is centrally located near all the restaurants and shops but off the beaten path on a large corner lot. The house was in immaculate condition upon our arrival very clean and spacious with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults to move around and not be on top of each other. A short 3-5 min walk from the house you can view some amazing sunsets on the bay side of St. George Island. We'll definitely be booking this house again for our trip next year.

We were overall thrilled with our stay at this property. Wonderful location with easy access to everything you need. Really clean bedrooms are nice as can be. It was a great house. I would recommend for anyone to give this place a try.

backroad blue/appalachicola visit with friends

lovely home: perfect for us old folks...only 3 steps up to porch/ground floor which is hard to find on st georges island due to flood levels/modern bldg code.we enjoyed local shrimp dinners at home - loved visiting the state park for walks & bird watching...backroad blue is easy to find when we arrived, & loved the quiet neighborhood! susan

Great single level home that was perfect for us and our dog. We had an issue with the double door and with one message to Tara, it was quickly resolved. She is very good to work with.

Door hard to lock had to go out back door to lock up. Could not turn dishwasher on, left note. Everthing else was perfect. Thanks for having us.
