The Spring House

When traveling the back country roads of Bedford, PA you will find the completely renovated brick house known as, The Spring House. Like its name, this home offers a majestic natural mineral spring. Beautiful views can be seen on either side of the house. Inside you will find 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, brand new furnishings and plenty of space for you to enjoy.

If you like to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Sit on the front porch for a view of the mountains and the farmland. On the back deck you can enjoy the flowing water from the natural spring. There is plenty of space for a large family. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, laundry room has a full size washer and dryer, each living room and bedroom has a smart tv. All bedrooms have brand new Purple mattresses. Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa as well as Old Bedford Village is 20min away. Guests will have access to the whole house. Occasionally there will be farm machinery working in the fields.

The Spring House is a wonderful home-away-from-home for travelers to the Bedford, PA area. It's a beautiful old structure that has been fully renovated and updated for today's visitors, without compromising its historic charm. Eight of our family members stayed there for a weekend wedding celebration and we enjoyed every moment. The furniture is comfortable, there was plenty of space (and modern bathrooms) for everyone, and the back porch overlooking the pond and wheat fields was spectacular day and night. The kitchen is well-stocked with all of the tools you could need, and everything was spotlessly clean. There is even a grill out back, although we didn't have time to use it. Everyone kept commenting on the beautiful views of the pond, wheat fields, and wildlife. Amanda is a great host, making sure we had what we needed and responding quickly to questions. If we ever return to Bedford, we will stay at The Spring House again.

The house and land were beautiful and very comfortable. After looking at the album of its restoration, I was even more impressed. Our host was very helpful to move our arrival up a day and extend our stay for a few hours to accommodate transportation. If there is any event in the Bedford Valley area this would be the best place to stay. It was in a beautiful setting and close enough to things in the valley. The GPS does like to take you on the wrong end of Bryan’s Lane through the farms field road. We learned to stay on the road with the yellow lines and you’ll drive right there. We would definitely return.
