Our Little Rock House is cozy and comfortable, with beautiful scenic views of the Hill Country. The house is private and secluded in a gated property. It also has a fully furnished kitchen with a gas cooktop and a wood burning fireplace.

We have breathtaking sunsets year around. You can enjoy the view and the wildlife while sitting next to a hand-carved, rock fire pit. The back patio is perfect for your morning coffee or taking in the view in the evening under the string lights.

The Little Rock House is an open floor plan. There is a king sized bed in a spacious room that leads to the back patio deck. We also have a full sized kitchen, fully furnished with a gas cooktop, oven, full-sized fridge and dishwasher. There is a wood burning fireplace for the chilly winter months.

This is a private spot, but is also a working ranch with other buildings on the property. The Little Rock House is set off the main road for more privacy. There will be light traffic and the occasional off road vehicle feeding animals and checking the ranch.

Once you arrive and enter the front gate of the ranch, you'll drive down a paved road and turn onto a crushed granite, circle driveway. There are rock pathways to enter the house and another set to the gas fire pit.

Guests will be provided with the gate code and personal door code to access the property. You will have access to the whole house and yard area around the house.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us through the site or from the personal welcome information at the house.

Anyone wishing to have a longer stay than 30 days, please reach out for availability and any discounts.

This place is awesome. Easy to check in and the Host is marvelous. The view ama quiet are just what was needed. There are deer that come to eat at the feeders and fun to watch. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Fabulous accommodations, close to Kerrville, private, STARS!!!, deer, and a comfortable place to stay near Fredericksburg (only 22 mins away) and Kerrville (5 mins away). Hill country place with super views!!

Quiet Get Away Overlooking the Hill-Country

The place was everything plus more! Very close to I-10 for convenience but far enough to not realize it was even there. A great place to escape to, such peace and quiet, which is hard to come by. Mendy hosted us for 6 weeks while we searched for a house to buy in the Kerrville area. Everything was wonderful at the little rock house. She was so polite and thoughtful of our needs. We were safe from the floods on her hilltop ranch and we were able to find our dream home. We would recommend her to anyone.

Another wonderful stay!

This is the second time in three months that my wife and I have had the pleasure of a weekend in this very special Texas hill country gem. We’re seasoned frequent VRBO’ers at locations throughout the country, and this is absolutely the best “couple” location… and we will return yet again.Every aspect of our visits here, from the cleanliness and perfectly-stocked aspects of the cabin, to the deer at the feeder off the back fire-pit area, to the juvenile bobcat that moved stealthily across the same area while they fed, to the star-studded midnight sky, to great hostess communications… all combine to make this location our number one favorite location of all.

We needed a couple of days to reset and have a peaceful, private getaway. The Rock House gave this all to us. We couldn’t have found a better place to unwind. Mendy has done an excellent job of making you feel at home and comfortable. We definitely will be back and more than likely, quite often.

The perfect place for a couple…

This little stone house is the absolute best place for a couple to relax in while nestled in the grandeur of the Texas hill country.The home setting is in a sequestered area of a working Texas ranch. Its elevation allows astounding (40 mile?) views, and the stars at night while sitting around the outside gas fire pit are amazing.The home itself is perfectly sized, appointed, and supplied with complete and top-of-the-line kitchenware, cutlery, etc.The home was exceptionally clean, seasoned wood was laid up for the fireplace, hostess communications were excellent… what more could we have asked for?We are seasoned, very experienced VRBO clients. This rental ranks as the very highest of locations for a couple-only rental. We will definitely return here again… sooner rather than later.
