The Sunset Ranch

Relax in the peace of a working mini-ranch where the sounds of chickens, crickets, frogs, and owls will quiet your mind. Sunset Ranch is just far enough away from the busyness of town to enjoy the most brilliant star-filled skies from the deck or take a short walk to the top of our property and watch the sun set over Klamath Lake!

Situated off of Hwy 97, we are conveniently located just 5 minutes from Oregon Tech and Sky Lakes Medical Center. Downtown Klamath Falls is just 8 minutes away.

Melody's farmhouse is very cute and cozy and it had everything I needed for my solo trip to Oregon. It was a little over half an hour drive from Crater lake national park. I loved hearing the chickens clucking in the morning and the beautiful sunset from up the hill. Melody was extremely professional in communicating and my stay went smoothly. Thank you Melody for a wonderful stay :)

Check in was easy. Kitchen well stocked. We were even able to purchase delicious fresh eggs. The home was clean, quiet and comfortable. We loved listening to the crickets at night, and the chickens, roosters and turkeys in the morning.

What an amazingly peaceful and wonderful place to stay. I stayed alone and felt totally safe and secure in the tranquil home. I feed the hens some scratch snacks the host left. There are fresh eggs in the frig and frozen organic beed in the freezer you can purchase if you don't have time or want to go to the store. I would recommend this host to anyone.

Peaceful & relaxing location

My wife and I spent a week touring around Oregon. This was our favorite accommodation. Loved the farm, and it was so peaceful. The rental was spotless and perfect. While we enjoyed our activities around Crater Lake and Klamath Falls, the peaceful sunsets sitting on the hillside right outside our front door was definitely one of our highlights.

Charming Cabin and Friendly Host

I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. Not only is it cute as a button, everything was sparkling, clean, up-to-date, and very comfortable. It took little effort to entertain myself, being a birder surrounded by a lovely habitat for many species. I hope to rest there again on my next driving trip to Oregon.

Beautiful, charming, clean and very comfortable. Quiet area and relaxing. We were towing a boat behind a suv, was very tight to turn around but doable. We'll be back next month on the way back.

Beautiful oasis north of Klamath Falls

Calm, quiet, warm, and inviting, the Sunset Ranch exceeded all our expectations. The bed is superb, the decor is fun, the kitchen has everything needed to cook a nice meal after a day of driving or exploring the area. Melody is a gracious and responsive host. Our only regret was that we arrived to late see one of the spectacular sunsets. We’ve already booked another stay for our return trip north.

Cozy and well appointed

Everything was very clean with toiletries and appliance locations well marked with lots of extra amenities available. Good communication with host. Lots of options for staying warm during the chilly January mornings.
