Awesome home!

The house was immaculate with plenty of space and loads of activities. We enjoyed every part of this wonderful house and boat dock. Ping pong tournaments, kayaking and canoeing, the incredible movie room, and the decks! Great place, would recommend it to all for a great location on the lake and a home full of amenities.

Perfect family getaway

Absolutely loved this house. Clean, functional and the views were spectacular. We brought the whole family to the lake for spring break and had a wonderful time. Would definitely return.

Playtime at the lake

This property was perfect for our family. We had five couples and young children and there was plenty of privacy. The ground floor playroom was perfect for the children. The theater room was a treat. The shallow private beach was where we mostly hung out with the children and we really enjoyed the community pool for a change up during the week.

Fantastic home in a wonderful location!

Our family had a fantastic and extremely relaxing week in July. Loved all of the toys for the lake. We didn't need to rent any motorized water toys because the lake itself was perfect with the kayaks, paddle boards, and flotation toys. We will definitely be returning again. We all agree that this is a super location for a vacation in any season!

A wonderful property in a great location.

My family of nine really enjoyed their week here splitting their time between swimming off of the large dock, playing video games and watching the World soccer championships. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a perfect match for our needs and we had more than enough space in the dining area. We had lots of room for our boat and SeaDoo and the screened in room in the boathouse cameo in very handy. We'll be back next year.

Lovely Family Home

My extended family had a wonderful time at the Relaxing Retreat on Lake Anna. Although the outside was unseasonably frigid, we all had a great time in this spacious home. We were unexpectedly surprised by all the toys, puzzles, and games! Our one year old loved to play in the downstairs playroom, while the adults played 🏓!

Second vacay and just as great

This house is truly amazing. It has enough room for everyone and the water is so close. The theatre room tops the end of every evening with great family time. My teenagers spent the whole week swimming and fishing off the dock during the day and watching movies with the family in the evenings. A great place to unplug and get away from everything. Be prepared to cook your meals here, because there aren't a lot of places to eat in the area. The community has a pool, but we never end up making it there because everyone has such a great time at the house. If you like sipping your coffee in the screened in porch or love fishing off the dock, this is the place for you. I know we will be back again. We lucked out this year and got the last week of the season and it just started to get cool, but the water was warm. Truly amazing and you have to take a look. You won't be disappointed.

Fun for the whole family!

We've now stayed at this home for the last two years, and it's the perfect place for us. The kids are in the water non-stop and love using the SUPs. They can fish off the dock with their dad each morning and night. We watch movies in the theater room during afternoon quiet time or late at night. We play games at the dining room table and in the screened in porch. Bottom line - we have a blast and are making wonderful memories as a family.

Great Time/Great Home!

Thank you Sonya for providing such a warm and inviting atmosphere making it feel like home away from home. The second you walk in you are immediately reminded you are on vacation....a lake vacation. From the front door you are greeted with views of the lake and a 2-story family/great room which is an open floor plan combo with the dining room and kitchen. On this main level was two large bedrooms (both felt like master bedrooms) with their own luxury bathrooms. The upstairs loft looks over the family room and more views of the lake. The two bedrooms and 2 baths up are very large but quiet, couldn't here anything on the main floor once the doors were closed. This was very nice as we had multiple generations present on this family trip. The basement offered a large playroom with plenty of toys for the young and old including a very nice ping pong table where I left my ego several nights! This level also has a big bathroom as well as a big bedroom with a sliding glass door which opens up to a concrete patio which stretches the whole back of the home. My daughter loved the hammock! The kitchen had a very nice screened in porch off of it with a deck that stretches the entire main level, very nice and spacious. Possibly the best part of the home besides the views of the lake, is the boathouse. A large gathering deck to the right of the main boathouse offered so much fun to the family. We jumped off the deck, swam around the dock, played on floaties, docked our jetski and boat....Sunsets and sunrises are amazing from the dock! The homemade beach complete with new sandpit offered us the opportunity to wind down after dark while the little ones saw how many smores they could eat. Overall, my favorite home we have stayed in on Lake Anna by far! We hope to be back.

Relaxing and Fun Family Vacation

Our extended family stayed here in the beginning of August, and it was wonderful! The house is perfect for a large group (we had four couples, plus two young adults, and two little kids). It is nice that each bedroom has it's own bathroom, and the rooms are all very spacious. The no-wake location on the lake is great for kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. The sandy beach is fun for little kids. The house is very well equipped for indoor fun as well, with plenty of toys, board games, video games, and the movie room. The kitchen also had all the small and large gadgets you will need if you enjoy cooking, as we do. We will definitely be back!

Spacious interior... every room is comfortable and accommodating. Inside or outdoors; sun or shade; swimming, boating or lounging.... something for everyone. Our family included infant, toddlers, children, teens and young adults... everyone agreed it was our favorite location for our annual Fam-cation. Although we rented two houses, this is where we spent most of our time.

Perfect Lake Home!

Our family enjoyed a truly relaxing week in this lovely home on Lake Anna! The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood and on a quiet cul de sac on the lake - very peaceful with limited boat traffic. The lake views are wonderful, and the back decks and well-designed dock offer so many places to enjoy the outdoors. The beach complete with a brand new fire pit is a great place to hang out, and we enjoyed all the provided paddle boards and canoe/kayaks as well as the pedal boat. There's so much for everyone to enjoy! We had one rainy day and just enjoyed relaxing inside the comfortable home. Everything was very clean upon arrival! The brick path from the house to the dock is so convenient, and we loved the newly built pergola that helps keep the dock cool. We really enjoyed the screened in porches at the house and on the deck. This home is a great place for dogs, children, and the elderly or handicapped. We will definitely look forward to returning. Beautiful house and grounds.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and large enough for a big group. It has all the amenities you could ask for. The house and the grounds are kept up and clean. The dock and boathouse are wonderful and they supply kayaks, canoes and floats. We caught a variety of fish, saw turtles and many different birds. Love the bird houses. We will be back again and highly recommend this place. The owner is responsive and easy to work with and answered all questions in a timely manner . We love lake anna.

Fantastic set up for our family get together.

This house suited our group wonderfully. It is hard to find houses that will accommodate persons with accessibility issues but this home was just what we were looking for. Everyone was able to have their own bathroom and the kitchen was able to handle our group meal prep just fine. The media room was great and had a large selection of movies and games to satisfy everyone. The boathouse screened in sitting area was very popular also. We had 11 adults sleeping in the house and a second house full of people for meals and visits and nobody felt crowded. We will be renting this house again next year, and the one next door, since we all loved it so much. Lake Anna is a jewel of a spot and the warm side has been a hit in the early spring and mid fall. Perfect Getaway!

This home was simply wonderful. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to have a fun, relaxing time on Lake Anna. The home has everything you will need, both inside or out on the lake. Our two year old was beyond excited to see some fun new toys that she got to play with. The house is equipped with an incredible theater room stocked with hours of entertainment. We spent the majority of our time outdoors, where we had use of kayaks, paddle boards, a canoe, and much more. This home away from home was truly amazing and we'd recommend it to any and everyone. Additionally, the property owner was always very responsive, helpful, and very thorough in providing all and any information we needed. Thank you for a GREAT vacation!

Couples' Getaway!

We loved this home! It had everything that we could possibly want for five couples to enjoy. The house is tastefully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need for a getaway. We enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and playing ping pong. One day we even rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed the lake. Some of us visited the local winery, but two couples stayed behind to enjoy the property. It was very hard to leave!

Fantastic accessible lake home

It is very difficult to find a rental home that is truly accessible for a motorized wheelchair user. This house exceeded our expectations, and made our stay so enjoyable. The entrance is ramped and opens to a open living room, dining room and kitchen. All doorways are wide and our daughters bedroom had a large roll in shower and elevated toilet-excellent design. From the kitchen there was a ramped access to the screened porch with dining table and deck. She had no problem on the paved pathway to the dock and lake so she enjoyed fishing. This house is absolutely beautiful, well cared for and at a great location on the lake. We were able to share a great family vacation that also included our dogs. The owner was very pleasant and prompt with replying to any questions. We would highly recommend this house, especially for those with disabilities. Thank you for sharing your wonderful house!

My family and dogs love our lake house and would love to share it with others. Lately I've been asked why I have no recent reviews. The answer is that I typically have over 80% repeat renters at this point, and 60% of my renters come for the accessibility features.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

After vacationing at Lake Anna for several years we decided to buy a lot and then build a house. The lot is on a quiet cove on the private side of the lake. Boat traffic is at a minimum. The cove has deep water. It is fun to swim or just paddle up and down the cove. The neighborhood offers a community pool and a community boat launch.

I love the drive to Lake Anna. The roads are pleasant to drive on with pretty views of farms and mountains off in the distance. Even the dogs get excited when we cross that first bridge on 522 and get a glimpse of the water. And I love the soaring windows and lake views when I walk into the house. The back of the house faces south and it's always bright and cheerful inside the house.

Our dogs are happy to share the house with other well-behaved dogs as well. The house is completely wheelchair friendly. There is even a gentle paved path that will take you on to the dock or to the beach or to the firepit.

I customized this floor plan to make it accessible and to have a layout that would be friendly for vacationers. I stocked the house with everything a vacationing family could want. After having stayed in several houses with my family I knew what worked and what didn't. For example, the 2nd sink in the kitchen really comes in handy. Plenty of bathrooms help too. And the gentle slope and short distance from the house to the water makes for a much easier walk back and forth to the house to grab things for the kids. And EVERYONE loves the Theatre Room and the 18'X6' water mat.
